THE NEXT DAY
HUNTER'S TOUR BUS
RYLAN'S POVI read the letter from last night over and over again in my head.
Be expecting me soon.
-B
"This has gotta stop?" I shout. The gang just looks at me weird, since we were in the middle of watching a Mario Kart match. Great, more attention.
"What's gotta stop?" Matt asked, "Please tell me you're not talking about the game."
"Don't worry," I reply through gritted teeth, "I'm not talking about the game. I'll be right back." With that, I head back into Hunter's music room, which seems to be my comfort zone right now.
HUNTER'S POV
"What's up with her?" Steve asked.
"You shouldn't worry about it," Destini replied, "Besides, she's probably just blowing off steam."
"For what, though?" Andy asked, "I've never seen her as the type to get mad about something. Or to have a short fuse."
"Did you guys see what she was reading, though?" Tristen asked, "I think she dropped it." And sure enough, a white piece of paper was on the floor, which Tristan picked up and began to read it.
"It says... Be expecting me soon... from B. Who's B?" Wait a minute... B couldn't be who I think it'd be... could it? But looking over to Wyatt and seeing an enraged looks only confirmed my suspicions.
That letter was from Bradley.
That idiot broke my sister's heart in more ways than one. I don't know the other ways other than him cheating on her, but I know there were more. I had to go check on her. A lot of the other people on the bus wanted to stop me.
"What do you think you're doing, Hunter?" Sam asked.
"I'm gonna make sure my little sister is okay, that's what," I replied rudely.
I walk into the music room, making sure to lock the door to the bunks so no one can snoop on the other side of the door. I walk in and her face was stuffed into the pillow. Her body was shaking pretty violently, too. What the... another panic attack!?!
I haven't seen her having one of those in years! And when I saw her again when we picked her up from ma and dad's place, she seemed more cheery thanks to the medication she was taking. And I know she's still taking it because ma and dad told all of us to make sure she does. Wyatt has been calling me every night since the tour started to let me know that she had taken it, too. Thankfully there was a bottle of benzodiazepines and a bag of needles in the bathroom. I rushed out and grabbed the needle filling it with the liquid that would calm my sister down. Ma and dad told me not to use this unless she was having a panic attack and her medicine didn't work.
A bunch of the people on the bus gave me scared looks as I locked the door leading to the bunks back and entered the music room. Ry was freaking out even more now. I injected the medicine into her shoulder, which made her yelp, but calm her down within about a minute. She was still crying, but no longer in a panic attack.
"You okay, sis?" I asked.
"I should be," she replied, "Thanks."
"No problem. Just no caffeine for the next couple days, alright?"
"Yeah, mom." We both laughed at that.
"So, what does Bradley want?" I asked. I didn't wanna avoid the subject or wait until later to find out. She knew that she could tell me anything, but I think she's finding that a bit hard to believe right now. A couple minutes of silence pass, but she finally breaks it.
