Chapter 24: Radio Lia

THE NEXT DAY
2 HOURS BEFORE INTERVIEW WITH LIA
HUNTER'S APARTMENT
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

RYLAN'S POV

"Do we really need to wear anything fancy?" Destini asked, "I mean, we're gonna be on the radio. We aren't on TV for another week and a half."

"We should be fine," I replied, "but don't go in, like, sweats and a baggy tshirt."

"I know that," she replied.

"Then how come you're asking?" Em asked. This got us all laughing until we hear a knock at the door.

"Don't come in!" we all exclaim and still laughing.

"Just trying to tell you guys that we're gonna go get dinner," Andy chuckled, "And if you want some, you'd better come with us."

"Hm stay here and be stranded here for the interview," Em said stroking her chin, "or go with the boys and be stranded in traffic and being almost late for the interview again?"

"Would you rather be stranded or late?," Destini asked her.

"We'll be out in a sec," I exclaimed. After we got dressed, we all piled into Andy's Kia Sportage and headed off to get something for dinner.

"Where should we eat?" Andy asked.

"Well we all know not to go to a diner because last time we did, we were late to our interview with Lia," Em chuckled.

"Hey that was out of my control," he exclaimed, "It's not my fault that the waitress made us wait!"

"No but it is your fault that you picked one of the four and a half star restaurants in Nashville," Destini smirked.

"Jim N' Nick's has a four and a half star rating?" he asked.

"How did you not know that?" Wyatt asked.

"I don't pay attention to the ratings," he replied, "I just go wherever there's good food. Speaking of which, who's up for blizzards at Dairy Queen?" Everyone exclaimes in confirmation as we went through the drive thru for dinner and blizzards. Once we got our food, we started heading to Lia's studio.

"You remember where it is, right?" I asked while enjoying my S'mores Blizzard.

"Yeah I remember," he replied. And after getting through traffic, we found out that he was right.

"New record, Andy," Tristen exclaims, "fifteen minutes early!"

"Oh shut up, will you?" Andy asks. We all laugh and take our dinner into the studio. We eventually find Lia's room, having about ten minutes before we've gotta put our dinner away for the interview.

"Hey guys!" Lia exclaimed.

"Hey, Lia!" we exclaimed .

"So tonight we're just going to talk about the new album, any new music, how the career's been going for all of you, and a little snipbit of what happened in that court case against Bradley Stevens, if that's alright with you." I'm so glad she asked that. Everyone suddenly looked at me so apparently it was mainly my decision.

"We don't mind," I replied.

"Great!" she exclaimed, "So I'll let you eat your dinner before we go on with the show, okay?" And ten minutes later, we managed to finish our dinner and half of our blizzards before the interview started.

"Hey listeners it's Lia," Lia exclaimed, "and our Spotlight Guest tonight happens to be one of the youngest and most successful music groups of all time right now, Wildflowers and Redneck Boyz!"
