Chapter 9
I told everybody else about the video. I sat in the corner of the booth next to Matt. Josh kicked me from under the table and smiled at me. I got out my phone and texted him.
'Are you sure you're okay? -Porce'
Josh's phone made a small beeping noise and checked it. Josh nodded yes and wrapped his leg around mine. I bit my lip and held in a laugh. He got out his phone and tapped the screen quickly.
'I haven't told the guys yet... - Josh'
'Nows the perfect time. - Porce'
"Uh guys, I have a bit of a announcement." Josh said loudly. Everybody's attention went towards him. "Amanda cheated on me and we broke up."
Matt's first instinct was to nudge my side with his elbow. I nudged him back. Then the strangest thing happened. Everybody started clapping at once. "Good job Josh. Get rid of that bitch." Matt applauded. I elbowed him again and just said rude. Josh frowned.
"Josh, face it. You weren't a match made in heaven. She was bitchy and you're you. We know you were in love with her but it was for the best." Mike, or also known as the cheesiest human on the planet earth said. Josh cracked another smile. This time it wasn't as sad. It was more himself.
"Shit. There's our food." I said. She handed out our food and we all ate in silence.
-
"IT'S FUCKING FREEZING OUT AND I DO NOT LIKE." I screamed. We were doing some kind of night theme shit for the video. Josh ran off from the makeup and gave me his jacket. "No, you'll catch a cold. Keep it."
"Porce, take it. For me." Josh pouted at me and I took it from him.
"Ramsay! Get back here!" The makeup lady yelled. I sat down on the ground and started writing in the sand.
'Vancouver Forever
Caelyn, Matt, Josh, Mike, Ian. ♥'
I wrote.
"Ontario was never home to you was it?" Ian asked. I sighed.
"It was before I moved, but after, it just didn't feel the same." I said as I continued to draw. I just did whatever my hand wanted to.
"Maybe it wasn't Vancouver that was your home. Maybe it was the people in it. We're your family Cae, you know that." Ian said.
"I know, I love you guys." I said. I looked down at the ground to see what I had writen.
'Joshua Keeler Ramsay'
I had writen on the ground. I quickly brushed it over.
"Why don't you go for Ramsay?" Ian asked.
"He's really sad right now. I wanna take it slow." I said.
"You're gonna stay in his room tonight aren't you?"
"Yup."
"In his bed?"
"Odds are." I smiled. Ian messed up my hair a bit and laughed.
"I've got to go, later." Ian said. I waved to him as he left. I went back to drawing in the sand.
-
I was still laying on the ground a hour later playing fall out bird on my iPhone. I had some of Josh's jacket over my face because it smelled like him.
"CUT. GO GET SOME SLEEP GUYS." Kyle yelled. The guys hollered thanks. Matt came up to me and helped me up.
"Piggy back?" I asked. Matt chuckled and nodded. He leaned down and broght me to the car.
"Matty?" I asked.
"Yes?"
"Thank you for being the best best friend ever." I smiled widely.
"Love you Cae. See ya later." Matt waved as he left for the other car. Josh and Kyle had switched stops and Josh was now next to me.
"Thanks for the jacket." I said. Josh wrapped his arm around me.
"Thanks for today." Josh said. "I now realize Amanda's a bitch."
"So you're okay now?" I asked.
"I'm okay." Josh smiled and rested his head on mine. When we got to the hotel we had desided that I was going to be staying in Josh's room for now on insted of Matt's. We went and grabbed my suitcase and to our room. It felt cool to say that again, even if we weren't together. There was more space there anyways, it was better than sleeping beside Matt every night.
