12. Cactus in the Valley

Chapter 12

"2 more days until its just you and me." Josh said.

"I know.. I'm so excited to be back in Vancouver. Oh! Maybe I could do a solo show or two while I'm out here! Or we could go on a few dates! Or we could film a duet!" I squealed in happiness.

"To what song?" Josh asked as we arrived at our room. It was really cool to watch today. Really funny too. It was a good day.

"Just a uh song I was working on today. During lunch I had the idea. Its on a Chinese food napkin." I chuckled.

"Cool. What's it called?" Josh asked as he unlocked the door.

"I'm thinking Cactus in the valley. It's a slow one. I was thinking I could do it with Michael but we have 2 duets already and I'm reunited with you so, yeah. I only have the chorus and a verse done. Anyways, I need the band to help me." I said.

"Yeah, I guess. How's it go?" Josh asked.

"Do you have your acoustic?" I asked. Josh nodded and handed a guitar to me. I sat down and tuned it to how I like it. I stole one of the guitars on set today so I could write.

Tell me that you still recall my name....." I sang. Josh started to clap.

"Wow, Porcelain. That was really good. Next tour we go on, you are so coming with us." Josh said.

"Thanks and yeah, that'd be nice." I said.

"How many albums do you have?" Josh asked.

"3, but currently Michael and I are working on number 4. Lights ep, The Listening, Acoustic, and now Siberia we think." I smiled as I picked at he strings and started to play Ice as acoustic. "I think I might dye out my red stripe and go all black again."

"That'd be cool." He said as his phone started to ring. He picked it up. "Hey Matt, what's up?....Yes, we have clothes on....Are you fucking serious?" Josh asked. "Porce they liked your song." Josh said as he went to open the door. There, everybody stood. I tilted my head as they entered the room. Matt stood up on a bed.

"WE GOT A MOTHER FUCKING 2 AND A HALF MONTH TOUR. 7 DAYS AFTER YOUR BIRTHDAY RAMSAY, CANADA WIDE." Matt screamed. Josh's birthday was in exactly one month. 31 days. Is that enough time to fly the guys out here, film a music video, finish a song and film a duet? Everybody cheered. Mike stood up on the other bed that I was on. I looked up at him.

"BEST PART IS. WE MADE EVERYBODY LISTEN TO YOUR GUYS MUSIC CAE, AND IF THEY WANNA COME, YOU ARE OPENING FOR US!" Mike screamed. I let out a high pitched scream and hugged Mike.

"I love you! I love you! I love you! I'm calling the guys right now!" I bounced around and did a group chat with Michael, Joey and Robbie.

"Y'ellow?" Joey answered.

"Hey boo." Michael said.

"Yo yo motha fucka." Robbie said. I giggled.

"REVERSE IS GOING ON TOUR WITH MARIANAS TRENCH FOR 2 AND A HALF MONTHS." I screamed.

"ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!" Michael yelled.

"YES. I'M FUCKING SERIOUS. WE LEAVE JUNE 18TH. BE HERE OR BE SQUARE." I shouted. At this point, I didn't even know why I was yelling. I was very very excited.

"Any other details?" Joey asked. I shook my head no, but then realised they couldn't see me.

"Joe, I legit just found out 10 seconds ago. I know nothing. I'll skype you guys when I know though... Also, started a song and doing a duet with Ramsay when we get back to the 'Couve. I got to go, later guys." I smiled.

"Okay, bye Cae." They all said then hung up.

"DETAILS MOTHER FUCKERS?" I continued to bounce up and down. Wow, our first, real tour. Sure, we've done little shows with 4 dates on it but 2 and a half months with my boyfriend and best friends. Wow.

"June 18th we leave, First date is in Ontario, Toronto so we can pick your mates up there if we get there early... That's the only date we know... You and your band get your own tour bus. Cae, you know how to design shirts right?" Matt asked. I nodded. "Yeah, tonight you better design us some shirts. We'll leave you some ideas we sketched up when we leave. You need to make a set list also." Matt said. I nodded once again.

"Josh dear, go with them. You need to figure out some shit. I'll stay here and design." I smiled.

"Kay, I'll be back by one?" Josh said as he looked at his phone. It was currently 11:02. I nodded and kissed him. The guys gave me their ideas and left. I sat down at the little desk and made a set list. After a half hour of texting back and forth with the guys we settled on a mix between two. We will switch each performance. On a pice of paper I had this scribbled on,

Then I made the shirts. They were very simple. Yellow, green, pink and white shirts with FACE THE MUSIC written on them. I also designed the vip shirts. They were black with FACE THE MUSIC on the front in grey and green and MARIANAS TRENCH EVER AFTER on the back in green. Then a grey hoodie with FACE THE MUSIC on the front. I also made some earings that looked like guitar picks.

Then Josh had texted me to make a few shirts for my band.

I made a womans tank top that had REVERSE on the front then Caelyn, Michael, Joey and Robbie underneath it. Then I had FACE THE MUSIC underneath that. Then I made a unisex shirt that had a professional shot of us on the front of it and REVERSE underneath it.

Matt texted me the tour dates. He said make a rough copy of the shirt. They'll be finalized by tomorrow. I did as told.

I made a shirt with a picture of them on it and all the tour dates on the back. I did the same with a shirt for Reverse.

Josh opened the door up at 1:17 am to see me crouched over the laptop.

"Do you like them?" I asked as I showed him 8 merch items. Josh rested his chin on my head as I showed them to him.

"They are amazing... Why don't you get some sleep? Or try at least." Josh said.

"Okay... I sorta want to finish or try to finish Cactus In The Valley tomorrow. Would you mind if I stayed back? If I finish it now I'll be able to get to vocals done with you and then me and Kyle can do video ideas and it'll be out of the way." I said as I got up and laid down in bed.

"Stay back all you want. I get it. Sleep tight." Josh said. He kissed me on my temple and snuggled around me.

A/N Yes, I used a Lights song. Her songs will probably used a lot since they're going on tour. I am in no way saying I own any of those songs, they go to the rightful owner! :)
