At the moment, the three of them were figuring out a solution to find the area of the Cylinder. Satotz made it hard for us but I already figured out the answer. Shalnark looked into my eyes and I could tell that he needes my help. With a sigh, I wrote the answer on the paper that Satotz made us answer.

'1,597,938,413 metres per squared'

I then pass the paper on Satotz and everyone remained quiet.

"Correct." He announce and Kurapika groaned, while I rolled my eyes.

Shalnark on the other hand, hugged me while spinning me around. With his sudden action, I was really shock and when he puts me down, I have no idea what to do.

Why is he doing this?

"Congratulations Y/n and Shalnark, I expect you to study hard because in one month, you'll be competing at the World Maths Competition 2017." Satotz said and I nod, already recovered from what just happened.

Soon, the bell rang and I had study next, which I was planning to go to the library. I walked towards my desk and picked my things up. I then felt a presence behind me.

"I am so glad that I got to be your partner." He smiled but as usual, I ignored him and walked pass him.

I went out of the classroom and headed to the library. While I was walking, I saw three figures ahead of me and I sigh.

Here we go again.

"So witch, what did you put on Shalnark and he's BOOM! Suddenly interested at you?" Jess ask while whipping her hair.

Me being me, ignored her. With that action, she pushed me against the wall while Carla and her other minion Lily stood by her side.

"Don't just ignore me you ugly duckling!" Jess grabbed my neck and raised me up.

She looked into my eyes but I didn't show any fear.

"Yes, scared aye? You little brat should know your place! You know where that is? Under my feet!" She kneed me on my stomach that made me cough and I fell down the ground.

"That's right! Under my feet because you're nothing!" Jess kicked me on my stomach but I didn't really care for I was already use to it.

Sure there's a little pain to what she was calling me, but I don't really mind at all. But that's what where I'm wrong.

"Now let's see your ugly face!" She took the scarf off me then laugh. "Just like what I expected, ugly!"

"Hey! What are you doing to her?!" Someone screamed and the girls ran away.

My sight was a bit blurry but I manage to sat up.

"Hey Miss, are you alright?" A spiky haired guy ask as he checked me and another person stood beside him.

"Gon, she's injured. We have to get her help." The person beside him who has white hair said as be inspected me.

Pretender!

I stood up on my own, wincing in pain but I didn't show it.

"H-hey! Don't try to stand up! We'll get you help!" Gon, that's what his friends called him, warned and I glared at him.

Tears was forming in my eyes.

"Stop pretending that you care!" I yelled and they were both shock. "All of you are the same, you're all heartless!"

And with that, I ran away from them.

"W-wait!-" Gon tried to stop me but the white hair guy stop him.

"Just let her be." He said.

"But Killua..." Gon trailed off.

"She needs her space." Was the last thing I heard from the Killua guy.

I ran and ran, not knowing where to go until I bumped into someone but good thing we didn't fell down. Instead, I fell into someone's chest.

"Y-Y/n?" It was Shalnark.

I look up and he widen his eyes as he saw me crying. He opened his mouth to say something but before he can, I pushed him away and continued running.

Shalnark's POV

I was walking with my gang, talking about how to make Y/n fall in love with me. When we turned the corner, something or someone bump into me. I look down and saw... Y/n? She wasn't covering her face so I could clearly see it. Since no one had seen her whole face, the only thing that we can see is his eyes and eyebrows.

At first I was shock to see her face but I was more shock when I saw her crying.

"Y-Y/n?" I spoke and was about to ask what happened when she suddenly pushed me away and she ran away.

"Wait, was that... Y/n?" Phinks ask and I nod.

"Pretty!" Uvo commented and laugh.

What happened to her?

Phinks' s POV

This was the first time that we all saw Y/n's face and let just say that she has the looks! I got a plan... a brilliant plan.

"Hey Shalnark, why don't you follow her? She really needs someone right now." I suggested and he seems hesitant. "It could help you with your challenge."

And after I said that, he sigh in defeat then went after the crying girl. When he disappeared, everyone was staring at me.

"What?" I ask and Machi smirk.

"This isn't just about the challenge isn't it?" She questioned and I laugh nervously since I know that she already know what I'm planning.
