Chapter 6

Yep, there's two different groups in school that are popular. The Spider troupe which was lead by Shalnark and his companion Phinks, Uvogin, Machi and Nobunaga while on the other hand, there's the Phantom troupe which was lead by my big brother Chrollo, and his companion Pakunoda, Kortopi, Kalluto, Shizuku, Franklin and Feitan.

"Now I will draw two numbers from the box and that will indicate who you'll be versing. The last one standing would be the pairs that will be in the competition. You will have three rounds answering about Math question. Now, let the game begin!" Satotz announce and he drawed two numbers.

It was #1 which were Carla and Jess verse #7 which were Jason and Ren. In the end, Carla and Jess won. Second match was #2 which were Kurapika and Melody verse #3 which were Phinks and Nobunaga.

Not to be mean but with Phinks and Nobunaga's intelligence combined together, well... they're as dumb as a fish. They do know some things but since they're versing Kurapika and Melody, they don't stand a chance. And as suspected, I was correct. #2 had won the match.

#4 which were Uvogin and Machi was next verse #6 which were Kortopi and Pakunoda. Which leaves me and Shalnark #5, versing #8 which are Hatsu and Zetsu.

"Look who we have here, the Phantom troupe." Uvogin slightly growled at his opponent.

"Spider troupe." Pakunoda did the same.

"Rumors said that the Spider troupe are finally catching up with your troupe."

"Not on my watch." Pakunoda smirk.

The two groups had been trying to compete with each other to see who's team would be the most popular of all. Of course my brother's troupe was more popular, but to be honest, only Shalnark's group were the one who's eager to compete with my brother's group.

And that is why I don't want anyone to know that Chrollo is my brother. If someone knew, then his reputation would go down and everything would be a chaos! So I told him not to tell anyone that I'm his sister otherwise I'll never talk to him.

I just don't want anyone to hate him because of me, his nerd sister that has no friends and hated by everyone. What a great life I have!

"Alright then, how about a deal? If we win this competition, then you would tell the whole school that Spider troupe is better than Phantom troupe." Uvogin smirk and Pakunoda sigh.

"Fine, but if we win, all you have to do is say sorry. Sorry for challenging us." Pakunoda smiled.

"Eh? That's it? Either way, we'll win." Uvogin said confidently but in the end, Pakunoda and Kortopi won.

"Geez Uvo, you keep embarrassing our troupe." Machi sigh.

"Me?! You were the one getting the wrong answer! So why are you blaming me?!" Uvo defended.

"Actually Uvo, you were the one who got all the answer wrong." Shalnark shook his head in disappointment.

"Oh..." Was all Uvo said and he didn't say another word after that.

"Alright, I guess that leaves us then." Shalnark smiled at me and like as always, I completely ignored him.

The four of us, #5 which was me and Shalnark and #8 which was Hatsu and Zetsu went to the front and faced each other.

"Now, let us begin shall we?" Satotz questioned, earning a nod from the three but nothing from me.

I secretly glance at Shalnark, who was my first pair ever! But I don't know whether I should feel happy or not. Happy that he was my very first partner and sad that he might just wait, scratch that. Sad that he was just using me... I guess?

"Get ready to be beaten!" Hatsu smirk and Shalnark scoff.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Just remember that me and Y/n are the top of the class." Shalnark commented and I saw Zetsu gulp indicating that he already know.

"Shall we begin then?" Satotz ask and everyone but me nodded.

I have no intention on participating the game so I stood up and was about to walk away when Satotz stop me.

"Y/n, if you're planning to not to participate, then Shalnark would be immediately disqualified." He said and I stop from my track.

I looked at Shalnark to see his eyes begging me to play and I sigh.

"Fine, but I will just sit down and not participate." I simply stated and I heard Shalnark sigh.

The game had started and all the questions were basic Algebra, Statistics etc. Shalnark was answering them all while I hold back. Hatsu and Zetsu were struggling to defeat Shalnark and in the end, me and Shalnark won. Well, mostly it's Shalnark who have won since he answered all the question easily.

So the winners have to verse each other again until there's only one pairs. Throughout the end, it was down to me and Shalnark, verse Kurapika and Melody. Since I wasn't answering anything, it was more harder for Shalnark to work on his own because when Kurapika and Melody are working together, they match Shalnark's intelligence.
