Chapter 36

When Shalnark open the door, a gust of cold wind welcomed us and it sent shivers down my spine. I saw Paku-san already hiding behind my brother and I gulp in fear.

"After you my Princess. As they always say, Ladies first." Shalnark said as he made a way for me to enter first.

"I'll be right b-behind ya!" I tried putting a brave face on but failed to do so.

"If you wish." Shalnark shrug and he enter first with me behind him then my brother and Paku-san behind us.

I set my foot inside the cold room and look around to see if there's any signs of traps or any living things and when I didn't see anything, I continued walking slowly.

When I took another step, I felt something cold grab my left ankle and I scream as loud as I can and grab the nearest thing I could get then snuggle my face in it so I won't have to see the thing that grab my ankle.

I also heard Paku-san screaming and it took all my will to take a peak of where she was. She was cuddle up with my brother, who has a light tint pink on his cheek. I somehow found a little courage to check what the thing that I was snuggling in and when I found out what it was, my face heated up and became red as a tomato.

The thing that I grab wasn't a thing at all, it was Shalnark's chest. He was smiling halfway at me, amusement and something was shown in his eyes as I let his chest go.

"G-gomene..." I whisper, only enough for him to hear.

"Oh... ummm, don't worry about it. I don't... really mind." He lightly shrug his shoulder as he grin fully.

"Don't worry, it won't happen again." I rolled my eyes at what he just said.

A loud shriek frightens me and I had to move forward towards the Playboy and bump into his chest... again.

"You were saying Princess?" Shalnark giggle and I felt his chest vibrated with every word he said.

"S-shut up!" I exclaim as I kept myself close to him, afraid that something might pop out of nowhere.

"You know, you could hold onto me for as long as you want." He suggested.

I was about to let go, but the light suddenly went dim, making me agree with what he just said.

"Fine, just don't take it personally!" I exclaim as I wrap my arms around his waist and snuggle my face into his chest.

On the other hand, Shalnark wrap his arms around me as if he was protecting. Somehow, I felt safer in his arms so I let myself enjoy the moment we were having. I wish for it to last forever and not let the past come back and ruin it.

The fact that he was still the Playboy of Hunter x Hunter academy. The fact that he's the top number one heart-breaker of all time and would never stop breaking them. But in this meantime, I'll enjoy his presence and the sound of his heartbeat which was calm.

When I was listening to his heartbeat, it felt like it was only him and I were the only ones that was left in the world. I even forgot the position we were recently in.

I wanted to tell him that I love him, but I'm scared. Scared that all what he's doing was another or challenge that if I tell him what he wants to hear, he'll leave me and would never return.

So I'll just savour every moment we spent together and when the time comes, hopefully he will feel the same way as I do. All of my daydream ended as I felt a strong force pulling me in the door that we just pass.

I got separated from Shalnark and we both tried reaching for each other, but whoever was pulling me, is really strong.

"Shalnark!" I call him by his name, for the first time in my life, as I got pulled away from him.

"Princess/ Little sis Y/n-chan!" The three of them call out for me a door separated us from each other.

I felt something press against my nose and not long after, my head became heavy and darkness took over me.

Normal POV

"Mama!"

"Hey there sweetie pie!"

Wha... where am I?

You open your eyes, just to be blinded by the sun so you shield it with your hand immediately. When your sight became clear, a little girl who has h/c and e/c was shown, and it was running towards her mother.

W-what is this? You thought.

"Mummy! I want a ballonie!" The little girl said while pointing to the balloons.

You notice that they were in a festival and you observe the feature of the little girl and the woman whom she calls her mother. The woman has *your mother's hair colour and hair length* and *the colour of your mother's eyes*

While you were observing the both of them, you slowly realize that the little girl looks like you.

It couldn't be! She couldn't be...

"Sure, anything for my sweetie-pie." The mother smiled and they both walk towards the man who was selling the ballons.

No, she couldn't be... me...
