LFC Updates: Southampton's Tattling

There's this old saying that goes "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

It seems Southampton don't realise this great saying because they reported us to the FA (or was it the Premier League? I don't know, my memory's a bit foggy because I was a bit bothered that they even did this.  (That quote above was just a joke, by the way, I don't think we're the reason Southampton is still up)

If you remember, yesterday's update, I said that van Dijk (pronounced like Van Dyke, if you want to know) chose Liverpool. That's great, isn't it? It means that we can literally put down the numbers that we think are reasonable enough for him (maybe ~£55m with add-ons possibly being a part of that), because he will literally go nowhere else than here. He may even pull that "My head's in Liverpool" stuff that Dejan pulled. Because Southampton knows that he'll simply reject anything and everything because he has only one destination: us.

(If you remember, Alex Teixeira did just about the same thing until his club started to see how crazy with power they are and destroyed his chances for what he wanted. But now he has money! So . . . yeah.)

Southampton thinks that that's simply not fair. And a bit suspicious.

So now they're reporting us, saying that we have illegally (or something of that sort, maybe just interfering at best or whatever) talked to van Dijk about coming to Liverpool. Think Klopp calling him or having a dinner over it, it being a first choice spot on the team.

If the complaints aren't withdrawn in the next few days, we could be fined and possibly given a three point deduction or something like that for this. It won't stop us from him though and I'm sure how we're doing this is similar to an extent of what Chelsea and Manchester City are doing. So I'm confused as to why it's just us. Or maybe it's crystal clear.

Just a heads up in case this does materialise into something big.
