Shawn's POV
A week later
Things are so strange now. It's been a little over a week since Rosie, Josh and Carly moved and honestly I don't like it at all. I've had no one to hang out with now and it sucks. Not to mention how much I actually miss Rosie. Neither of us have bothered to keep in contact and honestly it's my fault. I practically cut contact between us whilst I was away on Magcon tour so she's probably figured there's no point in trying to keep contact now.
It was our first day back at school today after the summer holidays and honestly I'm not ready for it at all. I always hang out with Rosie, we always walk to school and home from school together. We always spend lunch together, we walk to home room together and we try our best to walk to and from classes together if we aren't in the same class but now that can't happen.
I walked into school and went straight to my locker.
"Hey Shawn" multiple voices spoke from behind me. I turned around and saw the stereotypical cheerleaders walk past me as they gave me a 'flirty' wave. I awkwardly waved back before turning back to my locker. That was weird.
Let's just say I wasn't exactly popular in school but I've been known by more people the more I became popular on vine but never to the extent where the junior and senior year cheerleaders recognise me! If Rosie was here right now she would totally glare at them because she thinks of them as stuck up slags. Trust me, if you came to this school and met the cheerleaders and jocks you'd wanna kick their asses also.
"Hey Shawn, no Rosie?" A familiar voice asked from behind me. I turned around and saw Abby, Rosie's science lab partner.
"Oh hey Abby...no. Rosie's err, she's moved away now. To Virginia" I spoke sadly and twiddling my fingers. Her eyes widened a little.
"Wait what?! Since when?!" She asked shocked.
"She found out during the summer whilst I was away on magcon tour. She moved last week actually" I said as the two of us started walking down the corridor.
"I never got to say goodbye. Now who's gonna be my lab partner?" She said sadly. I chuckled a little and she decided to change the topic.
"So how was magcon?"
"Yeah it was great. Best thing which has happened in my life so far if I'm honest" I answered truthfully.
"Will you be going again?" She asked. I nodded.
"Yeah around December time. Basically during Christmas break but we get three days at home for Christmas then we are back touring straight after" I chuckled.
I always had time for Abby, she dates one of my close friends Zach as well but I first met her through Rosie.
This is gonna be a long day...
Rosie's POV
"You ready for your first day at Lakeville high?" Matt asked once i got in the passenger seat of his car. That's right, he drives. I groaned.
"It's school, obviously not" I said making him laugh.
"Hopefully we are in some of the same classes" he said as we began to drive down the street. I nodded in agreement and we just jammed out to music and laughed for the rest of the journey to school. We parked in the school car park and so many people were here already. I felt the nerves start to kick in.
