Rosie's POV

December 25th

"Rosie wake up!" A small voice said as my body was being shook. I groaned and rolled over, pulling my duvet over my head during the process.

"Rosie get up! It's Christmas!" The voice I had figured out being Josh's said. I smiled and opening my eyes this time as I sat up straight.

"Merry Christmas little guy" I said hugging him tightly. He giggled and hugged back but let go pretty quickly.

"Come on, I wanna see if santa's been!" He said to me excitedly. I laughed and jumped out of bed, running down the stairs behind him and into the living room where loads of presents were scattered around the tree.

"Merry Christmas guys" mom smiled at us from her seat on the couch.

"Merry Christmas mommy!" Josh yelled running over to her and giving her a tight hug.

"Merry christmas mom" I smiled as I joined the hug. She kissed the top of our heads and allowed us to start opening our presents. I got a bunch of new make up and also a new laptop alongside a bunch of other bits n bobs. Once all three of us had opened our presents we all worked together and made pancakes for breakfast.

"Be ready for 1:00pm as we are going next door to have Christmas dinner with the Espinosa's and a few of their family members" mom told us. We nodded.

"Matt and I are meeting at 12 to go down to the diner for an hour anyways" I told her. She nodded and replied with an okay. Once I had finished eating, it was already 11:00 so I had an hour to get ready. I chose to wear a beige knitted jumper and black leggings with my comfortable brown ugly boots. I left my hair down straight but put a cream beanie on top as it was currently winter. I smiled at my appearance and opened my bedroom door.

"Mom I'm going over the balcony!" I shouted.

"Okay!" She replied. I grabbed some money and my phone then walked out to my balcony where I climbed over the railings on to matts balcony. This was what we always do now, our parents didn't like the thought of it at first but gave up telling us off. I tapped on his balcony glass door three times and watched him stand up from his bed and open the door for me.

"Merry Christmas girl!" He said pulling me into the room and hugging me.

"You too dude" I laughed and hugged him back. Matt came back from his first few stops of magcon the other day and goes back on tour in two days time.

"You ready to go?" He asked. I nodded and we jogged down stairs. I wished his parents and siblings a merry Christmas before we left the house and walked to the diner to see our friends for 45 minutes.

"Merry Christmas guys!" Luke smiled as he saw us first when we walked inside. We greeted everyone and I sat in between Luke and Matt, Sam was opposite me.

We had a small lunch with them all for about half an hour until we all had to go back home to spend time with our families. This is my first Christmas in six years without the Mendes'. It feels weird.

Whilst Matt and I were walking back to his, I heard my phone beep.

Aaliyah- merry Christmas! X X

I smiled and replied back to her, telling her a merry Christmas too. Aaliyah and I occasionally texted but as for the rest of the family, they're like a memory and a memory only.

We walked up matts drive and he unlocked the door. Inside we were greeted by his parents and siblings, my mom and Josh and his aunt and uncle and cousins.

"We're just waiting on Aunt Marie and her boyfriend and then dinner shouldn't be too long. You kids can go upstairs for a bit if you want" matts dad, Raffael suggested. Matt and I nodded and walked upstairs to his room.

"What date are you coming here for magcon?" I asked sitting on his bed.

"6th of January I think, why?" He asked. I shrugged.

"I wanna see you but it's gonna be difficult considering Shawn will be with you and he doesn't know I know you" I said. His eyes diverted to the ground nervously and he scratched the back of his neck.

"Err yeah, we'll figure something out" he responded with a nod. That was weird, but I decided to let it slide. We decided to play Fifa for twenty minutes until the doorbell was heard.

"That'll be aunt Marie and her boyfriend" Matt said standing up and turning the game off.

"How long have they been together for?" I asked standing up as well.

"About a year or so" he shrugged. I nodded and we left the room to go downstairs.

"Why is it so quiet?" He asked weirdly. I shrugged and felt just as confused as him. We continued walking down the stairs and into the living room where everyone was sat on the sofas apart from a man and a woman in the middle of the room-their backs to us.

I looked at my mom who had a pale look on her face and Josh with his mouth dropped open, everyone else looked confused.

"Oh my-" my mom mumbled.

"Sophie?" The guys asked staring at her. (A/N I can't remember what I named Rosie's mom).

I'd recognise that voice from anywhere. I gasped in shock and flung my hand over my mouth, Matt looked at me confused.

"Mark?" She responded. She looked like she'd cry any second.

"You're my dad?!" Josh screeched excitedly causing everyone to stare at him in shock or gasp.

"He's your dad?" Mrs Espinosa asked Josh shocked.

"That's your dad?" Matt asked me in the same tone.

"You're his dad?!" The lady, who must be aunt Marie, asked him in shock.

"Err, I-I must be" he stuttered.

"He wouldn't know the answer to that question cause he left the boy before he could watch him grow up" I said coldly causing everybody's attention to divert to us. He spun around also.

"R-Rosie?" He asked shocked.

"Merry Christmas mark" I said bluntly, not calling him dad.

"Dad to you" he warned me in a joking way. I sarcastically smiled at him.

"You lost the prove late of having that name the day you walked out the front door without saying goodbye and returning" he said leaning on the door frame and crossing my arms. His smile dropped a little.

"I deserved that" he said looking down.

"I can't believe it worked!" Josh yelled.

"What did?" Dylan asked.

"My Christmas wish to Santa, I wanted to meet my dad" he stated smiling at the man whom mom and I both hate.

"Christmas miracle? More like Christmas disaster" I stated before storming out of the house.

What a great start to my first Christmas in Virginia.
