Matthews POV

Two months later

"Did you hear the news?" Austin asked, rushing over to me in the school corridors.

"What news?" I asked confused as I closed my locker.

"Rosie's back" he said. I froze and stared at him. Was she really?

"I don't care" I lied as I brushed past him and started walking to my first class.

"No I'm serious bro, check Twitter for a start and Lucy and Maisie have already seen her this morning, Jake as well" he told me.

"Alright, I'll see you at break bro" I said walking into home room. I only had Luke in my home room but he wasn't in here yet so I walked straight to the back of the class, sat down and took my phone out to check Twitter.

Let me catch you up a little bit. I still make YouTube and vine videos, I'm just not touring at the moment. I'm doing my last few months of school then I'm going on digi tour which I'm super excited about. It's the end of April now and I graduate in June. Thank god.

I clicked on the recent trending hashtags and one caught my eye.

#ByeBye26

I clicked the hashtag and was surprised at what I saw. 26 management has now ended too. So Rosie really is back?

"Hey Matt bro have you heard the news?" Luke asked coming to sit beside me.

"I have, Rosie's back. I know" I told him with a shrug.

"You not happy? You were both inseparable before magcon" he said with a small chuckle.

"A lot changed during magcon buddy" I told him, slouching in my seat a little more.

"Do you think she'll finally talk to me, you know...after what happened back in New Years" he said.

"No clue. You're lucky I forgave you to be honest, but what you did to her was well out. Be careful Broncos if you touch her like that again I'll floor you" I warned him. He raised his eyebrow.

"Thought you wasn't bothered bout her anymore?" He smirked.

"Just because I'm not talking to her doesn't mean she's still not my best friend so watch it." I snapped. He held his hands up in defence.

Break

"Hey Matt" the gentle voice I hadn't heard for two months spoke. I looked up from my spot in the cafeteria and narrowed my eyes at her.

"Rosie"

Rosie's POV, after school

"Hi honey, how was your first day back?"  My mom asked, coming from the kitchen as I stood in the hallway.

"Awful. Matthews still angry at me after the whole magcon thing. It was just so awkward with our group today" I explained.

"He'll come around eventually" she told me.

"Rosie!" My brother Josh yelled coming from the kitchen also. Ever since I came back home two days ago he's been so attached to me it's unreal. These past two months he's also turned 8.

Since magcon broke up I've not spoken to anyone apart from Cameron, Nash, Hayes and Carter of course. Not even Shawn has spoken to me which sucks. It's like we're just back to square one again now.

When I finally could escape, I walked upstairs to my room. I dropped my school bag on my bed and walked over to my balcony. I opened the door and stepped outside. I rested my arms on the railings and took a deep breath. Summer was approaching meaning the weather was improving.

After a few minutes the sound of a door opening and closing and then footsteps was heard.

"Hey"

I turned my head and saw Matthew stood awkwardly on his balcony.

"Hi" I responded, gently.

"Can I?" He referred to coming over the balcony. I nodded and he did so. He stood beside me and leaned over the railings too.

"How've you been?" He questioned.

"I wish I could say well" I answered.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Ever since magcon ended I've not been myself. Shawn left me, everyone hates each other, the fans wanted to kill theirselves or hurt theirselves because of us and I just felt so much stress and pressure it's unreal Matthew. I felt as if I had no one!" I said, close to crying. He wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on top of mine.

"No one hates each other, Rosie. We're all just angry." He told me. I shook my head.

"It's been two months, Matt. No one has said a word to cam, Nash, Hayes, Carter and I at all. You all hate us" I said.

"No. That's not true, I promise you."

I wish I could bring myself to believing him. But right now, it was just impossible. I felt as if the only person who could really calm me down was Shawn. But he's not here right now. He's in Paris at the moment, having the time of his life. Living his dream. I'm proud, don't get me wrong. But I miss him so bad.
