The warm morning glow illuminates the hotel room as Atlantis begins to stir, waking up. She lay, looking at the ceiling and the light that dances across it. She's glowing and she knows it. A strong huff of air has her turning to her right to see Aaron, who stirs in his sleep. A smile spreads across the young girls lips as she's let's out a sigh of her own.
"Good Morning." Aaron's raspy voice fills the young girls ears and she giggles.
"Good Morning." With a groan, Aaron moves towards Atlantis and wraps his arms around her.
"Last night was amazing." The young girl gasps and slaps Aaron on the arm in a playful manner.
"Sh! Someone might hear!" She giggles.
"Oh they heard alright." He pushes himself up and hovers over Atlantis before kissing her slow and tenderly.
"I was thinking of a casual breakfast, Denny's?" The smile across Atlantis' lips grows.
"Denny's it is." The pair get ready, Aaron being distracted at every second of their time by Atlantis. He can't help but hug her and kiss her and show her that he loves the young girl. And she soaks in the affection, loving him back with everything she has. After about a half hour of fooling around and giggling, the couple are finally ready to go out for breakfast. The Denny's is a short walk from the hotel, and they walk the entire way there with Aaron's arm wrapped around Atlantis' waist.
The small restaurant rests between a mall and a large cooperate building, the modern Paris and Aaron likes to say. It doesn't take away from the comfort of the place though. Aaron takes Atlantis' jacket and they sit down to chat and enjoy their meal.
"I've been thinking of calling my dad back.." Atlantis trails off while cautiously munching on a sausage from Aaron's plate. She had been debating if bringing g up the subject would be such a good idea, but her mind got the best of her heart in the situation. Aaron looks up at the young girl with a gaze that almost seems cold. He coughs.
"And why would you want to do that?" He quickly decomposes himself and continues picking at the food before him.
"Well I had been thinking about this situation and maybe it's best that I call him back, maybe settle things with him. Things must be alright as they haven't cancelled the credit card yet." Aaron sighs, lifts up his hat, and runs a shaky hand through his long hair. It has grown some since they left for the trip.
"Well then a call is in order I guess. You can call whenever you seem fit, but first I need to ask you something." Atlantis raises a eyebrow at the man and he clears his theist, taking her hand in his from across the table.
"I want you to move in with me. You can think about it, but I just feel like it would be good for you, so you can finally have the life you deserve." His face is calm and Atlantis, in a joking manner, taps her chin as though she is making a hard decision.
"Well, I am going to have to say.. yes." She answers the question quickly, having thought of the possibility of moving in with Aaron a handful of times before. With a grin like the sun, Aaron leans across the table and places a soft kiss on the young girls lips.
They continue their meal with a soft and comfortable chatter, but both Aaron and Atlantis have a scratching feeling about this phone call in the back of their minds. And so they go about their day, and forgetting about the time difference, Atlantis calls after a full day.
The nerves strike the young girl and her hands shake. Aaron, having always been observant, takes her hand in his as she dials her fathers number on her phone. It must be the early hours of the morning, but there is a raspy 'hello?' on the other line of the phone.
"Dan?" Atlantis nervously glances around the room, knowing full well that she is thousands of miles from her father.
"Atlantis, darling? Are you alright?" Sincere concern drips off of his voice and Atlantis relaxes a little. Aaron sits across from her, being supportive even though he has no idea what they are speaking about.
"Yeah dad, I'm fine. How are you and mum?" Aaron runs his thumb along Atlantis' hand in a calming manner.
"She is fine. We have been worried about you, seeing you all over the news with that man-" Atlantis cuts her father off, her eyebrows knitting together.
"What? The news?" The young girls eyes flicker to the man that sits across from her. His cheeks are slightly pale and he seems to act nervously.
"The CEO of AndersMoore. You know the company that I am talking about, yes?"
"Yes," Atlantis' voice comes out in a croak.
"I know I shouldn't be telling you this over the phone love, but your mother and I have been worried about you so much, and we love you. We haven't cancelled the card because we want you to live, but you need to come home." Atlantis' mind jumps off of the topic of Aaron and she lets go of his hand, walking over to the window.
"I'm nineteen, nearly twenty. I want to experience this, I want to live."
"You can't just run off and around the world with a man five years older than you Atlantis." The young girl scoffs.
"In fact, I can. And I love him. He has been more of a family to me than you and Carrie had ever been." Atlantis can hear some rustling on the other side of the phone and a new voice fills the speaker.
"Atlantis, honey. Your father and I have cared about you and loved you ever since we adopted you. You didn't even know who this man was, did you?" Aaron stands across the room, fiddling with a paper clip while gazing at Atlantis. Her eyes meet his for a second before she turns back to the window.
"I didn't.. no he didn't tell me."
"Well honey, see? What else could he be keeping from you?" Atlantis plays with the hem of her shirt as she glances to the Eiffel Tower that presents itself out the window.
"I will not come home. But I will talk to you another time. Goodbye." She hangs up the phone before her so-called mother could say anything else. With a breath, she turns to face Aaron.
"Atlantis, love I-"
"You tell me everything Aaron. Right here, right now."Hahahaha one week or so led to wrote this book. Chapters are going to be often so yeah.
