Chapter thirteen

Marie POV

I have no idea what's going on. My head is spinning. I can only see a gold light from under me. If I'm from a different world how could my 'powers' only work here?! Holly looks at me worriedly and Alois has a strange expression on his face. then I look down to see the symbol. then all goes black for a few seconds.

When my eyes open again I feel something on my back. like two extra limbs. I bring my hand to my back. feathers. Then claude stops reading. the light disappears and all is silent. Everyone looks at me.

"What?!" I cry.

"Look for yourself." Undertaker says beckoning toward a full body mirror.

I turn toward it and gasp. I didn't see myself.

Alois POV

She looked different. two large white wings spread from her back. Her blonde hair had turned white. Her face didn't change, just her eye color. They were red. Her maid's dress had been transformed into long black dress that had long sleeves that ended past her fingertips. The back dipped down low enough for her wings. Holly gaped at the sight.

I think she looked beautiful.
