In the night...after the meeting was over...

Levi was drinking tea alone in the table. By chance, Mikasa went outside her room and saw Levi there. Instead of greeting, she passed through him like he was nothing but an empty chair.

Levi said while he was holding his teacup," Oi Mikasa..". Pretending or not, Mikasa continued walking like she didn't hear anything. He held her sleeves and spoke in command," Stop snubbing me brat."

She looked back just to finally have an interaction with him. They had a short eye contact with each other. "I can't talk with you right now sir. I'm busy.", she utters an excuse.

Levi answered back, "That counts as an order. Eren said himself that everyone's chores was done before the meeting was held or was he lying?"

Levi glared on her. His eyes were looking straight to hers...inviting her to join him just for a short while.Mikasa turned to him and sat down on the opposite side of where Levi is and asked, "What do you need from me?"

"I noticed that you were just quiet in the meeting and you didn't bother to join us. You were only there enjoying your tea on your own... Not sharing anything.", he stated.
"So you want me to talk about myself?", She gave her response in an uncomfortable tone.

Levi raised his cup into his mouth and drinks his tea. Mikasa remained silent and waits for him to finish. Levi asked looking down on his tea, "Tell me... Why do you always stick with that reckless brat all the time?"

"Eren?", she says to hear confirmation from him.

Levi looked up unto her and said "Who else am I referring to?"
Mikasa answered honestly, "I have to be by his side since I want to, I need to rather... to protect him from all kinds of danger aside from titans. I can't ju--"

Levi cut her sentence and directly asked," Do you have any feelings for him?"

Mikasa blushed for a moment and made her speechless for a moment. She didn't expect him to ask such a personal question and said," No...I... I mean he is....the only family left for me."

" I see..", he whispered to himself and still continues to drink his tea. "If that's the case, you have to accept we can lose someone unexpectedly. That's the reality we have to face." .He then grabbed his teacup and drinks slightly again.

Mikasa became annoyed on why the Captain kept asking these questions to her.

After drinking, he asked her again, "Do you resent me?" Mikasa didn't utter anything. She remained silent in that moment.

"Hey? Are you deaf or what?"

Mikasa directed her gaze at him and stood up," Sir.." . She went towards him and changes the topic, "I think your cup is almost empty, I'll just go and get a refill."

Mikasa held the teacup Levi was holding just when he was about to take a sip. "Oi! What are you doing? I'm not asking for a refill."
"No, I insist." Mikasa replied as she forcibly pulls the teacup towards her. Levi was doing the same thing too.

The both of them were grabbing the teacup aggressively that their hands were reaching each other. Mikasa stared down at him, while Levi glared up at her.

UNTIL~~!!..

...it suddenly fell and got spilled directly on Levi, then the teacup fell straight to the ground. It broke and its pieces were scattered on the floor. It also made a loud noise in the field. Both of them were shock in an instant.

Levi stood up shuttering on the boiling spilled tea on him.

He gasped, "kuh...damn brat..."
"Sir I apologize..let me help.", she says as she starts feeling sorry.
Levi gave an angry and scary glare at Mikasa," Look what you've done brat!..You didn't just spilled my tea..you also made a shitty mess! "

Mikasa shivered a bit and with all her remaining guts her mouth spoke, "Sir its because you won't let me serve you a refill..."
Levi:" Tch!"

Levi instantly grabbed Mikasa's scarf, dragged and pinned her towards the wall and cornered her close to him. Eye to eye, he said in an irritated tone," Stop giving me all your shitty crap! I'm done with your clumsiness and shitty reasoning. I just want to clear things between us but you kept giving me so much shit. Why can't you understand that?"

Mikasa stared speechless on him, so as Levi did. They were so closed to each other all they can stare at was each other's faces.

But then a confused voice made way in their scene," Sir? Mikasa? What's going on?"
It was Armin Arlert. It was obvious in his face that he was woken up from good sleep. He also caught both of them red handed.

Awkward silence came into the room.

Mikasa quickly pushed Levi away from her and asked, "Armin what are you doing here?"
Armin answered," I heard a noise outside my room, so I thought something was happening.."

In just a second, he then thought that something was really happening. He bowed his head down to apologize," I'm sorry to disturb both of you sir..."

"No..we're sorry for disturbing your sleep. Continue what you were doing.", Levi replied.
Armin then responded," Ye..yes sir!" He went back to his room awkwardly.

Levi then stared back at Mikasa. This time, Mikasa avoided eye contact with him.

"Tomorrow, I will be somewhere dealing some business. Make sure to do all your chores and everyone else's also. Am I understood?", he instructed her.

Mikasa answered in a shuttered and soft voice," yes...si-sir."
"Don't forget to clean the mess you made. Tsk!", Levi left immediately and went to his room.

Mikasa begun sweeping the broken pieces of the teacup on the ground.

"I didn't mean to hurt him... I just didn't like it when he always bothers me with annoying questions...", she thought with herself.
