While Petra was paralyzed at the moment of accepting what just happened, Mikasa immediately knelt down to fix the papers altogether again. In an instant, the carriage came back just a few seconds after the incident. Petra saw the carriage pass through the office window and it made her heartbeat really fast.

This awoken her to reality...

She knelt down to help Mikasa with the papers to make things faster... but there were more to go. Levi went down the carriage and the squad members greeted him outside the cabin. What a relief... at least they're contributing a few valuable seconds to the time.

From the looks of it, Petra's face was in horror and shame. She could imagine Levi getting angry while scolding her.

Mikasa can clearly sense the fear in Petra's eyes. She also felt sad because in the end Levi would be disappointed, in the same way, it's also because of the time and effort she wasted in sorting those papers.

Petra then started blaming and reasoning things to Mikasa, being desperate to escape the crappy situation ," If you hadn't touched his paperwork, If you'd only inform me that you were ordered to clean his office, none of this would have happened! I could've done it from here."

In a split second, the door creaked open and Levi suddenly appeared.

Levi's eyes widened to sight such a mess in his office. Petra turned her back to see the captain, while Mikasa continued fixing the papers facing away... Petra then stood up and was about to bow her head to Captain Levi to apologize, but..

"Mikasa!", Captain Levi's tone of voice seemed to be louder than the meeting earlier. Mikasa was quite shaken by this and stood up immediately. "Yes sir?..", she responded with a shivered and soft tone of voice.

"Didn't I assign you the responsibility of my office?.. And you expect me to arrive here with this shit happening right before me?", he demanded. He swayed his head to see Petra. Petra shivered and prepared herself however..

"You even asked Petra to help you out?", he added as he sounded really angry and upset at Mikasa. Petra felt relieved it wasn't her to be blamed, but in the same time she felt guilt in her chest. She didn't have the strength to speak for her.

"You've caused me so much trouble, Ackerman. You've disappointed me"

Mikasa's watery eyes looks like it's about to burst with tears after what Levi has said to her.

"From now on, you're not allowed to enter my office. I don't have time for this shit. You're dismissed.", he added. In that instant, Mikasa walked out of the room, passed through him and Petra, when her tears are about to fall down. Petra was buried in guilt. She wanted to admit the truth but couldn't...

Levi then went to the other door without any words to say. Petra just continued picking up the papers on the floor carrying a heavy burden with her.

On the other hand...

Mikasa kept running until she could reach her room. She happened to passed through Eren and it was enough to see that Mikasa was crying.

"Mikasa, what happened?", Eren asked but didn't received any answer from her. Mikasa ignored him and continued running to her room.

"Oi! Mikasa!", Eren shouted to get attention from her just when he was about to chase her, Jean held Eren's shoulder and stopped him. "Leave her alone for a moment."

When Mikasa reached her room, she drastically opened and locked the door. She removed her scarf and lied down on her bed while her scarf was covering her face. Feeling free to... she sobbed and sobbed... cried and cried until her heavy feeling is a bit lightened.

"heichou...", she mumbled soundlessly.
