Deeply troubled, she explored every space of her cushioned bed. She tried each certain position that would make her feel comfortable. She tried grasping the chance that she may fall asleep if she remains frozen at her bed; however, she could not even bring herself to close her eyes.
Her active mind was only filled with one thing. That thing that kept hunting her thoughts is no other than what she saw in Captain Levi's room. "Is it alright to be sleeping right now, while I don't even have any clue if the Captain is actually resting properly?... Why do I feel uneasy like this? Knowing Petra-san, she'll surely do her best to take care of the captain. She's been with him longer than I ever did, so she knows how to handle things with the captain better than I will ..But, he ordered me to take care of him, and... I want to..", she argued with herself in a shred of frustration.
After bewildering, she lifted her feet, crossed her legs and sat there as the serene night blends with her silence. Then, she decided. She could not be at peace as long as she checks on the Captain.
Her delicate feet fell on the floor as she begun walking quietly. Carefully, she left Sasha deep in sleep on her bed beside hers and finally exited the bedroom. As planned, she immediately moved to peek unto Levi as she walked more swiftly on the compressed hallway then passed through the dining room.
In her great shock, she stumbled to see the dining table was not empty. There was a person sitting on one of its chairs. The man that she was seeking to see in the middle of the night.

"Captain Levi?.. ", she called out impulsively with shock as its echo traveled to the walls and corners of the whole area.
Levi responded hastily as his face turned to see her, "Mikasa..?"
Their faces were fixed on each other as series of seconds elapsed. "C-captain, why are you still awake?", Mikasa asked shaken by confusion. "How about you? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping, Ackerman?", he rationally returned her question. "S-sir! I'm not the one who you should be concerned about.", she continued stuttering mildly.
