Iris's P.O.V
Felix: How's it going, bro?
Me: Whoa, you're in my phone now.
Felix: I sure am
Me: Mind explaining?
Felix: This is an easy one. You went to the bathroom during lunch, and 6969 isn't a great password.
Me: Dammit. Now I gotta change it.
Felix: Your fault. Respond faster.
Me: I can't, dummy. Some people need to work.
Felix: Hey, I'm working right now
Me: You're texting me while making a video?
Felix: Sure am.
Me: Good to know you're fans are getting quality programming.
Felix: Shut up. They know what they got themselves into.
I chuckled to myself, and set my phone down. I crossed out several lines in this one piece I'm working out and sighed outwardly. I already went through an entire pen trying to make do with it. Sometimes, this job can be a big letdown. I miss the time when I first started where I was getting great pieces left and right. At least people are trying to stay educated.
I heard the buzzing of my phone over and over on my desk, and I tried to ignore it. That was until I got five messages per second.
Jesus Christ. I quickly set down the paper and picked up my phone, hoping no one found out that I was texting during work. It was still vibrating in my hands as I unlocked the screen.
Felix: Hey
Felix: Where did you go?
Felix: I miss you
Felix: Are you dead?
Felix: I can get you fired y'know?
Felix: Buzz buzz
Felix: Buzz buzz buzz
Felix.: Buzz.
Me: Jesus Christ man, I have important things to do! This is NOT cool.
Felix: ...
Felix: You're not cool.
Me: I WILL SLAY YOU.
I groaned despite the smile threatening to break through.
"Uhm.. Iris? You okay there?" I heard Samantha call, and then a minute later, she appeared in my workspace with a playful glint in her eye. I laughed and nodded my head. I looked at her from head to toe. She pushed her purple, thin framed glasses up the bridge of her nose, and ran a tired hand through her blonde hair. She leaned on the wall that separated everyone from each to her, and pulled her ankles together.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just this idiot keeps bothering me."
"You want me to ruff him up?" She said, pushing her fist in the palm of her hand and I laughed.
"Hey, I can be tough." She said unconvincingly.
"Suuure." I responded, turning in my swiveling chair.
