3 years of peace.

It has been an entire year since that fateful night when we decided our future. The three of us, together, would go an a harrowing journey through training so one day we could face the titans head on.

A few weeks before, I had taken Kyo to the inner part of wall rose, to stay with my uncle Bodt. There, I was reunited with my cousin Marco. Turns out he had decided to join the military. But for what reason I don't yet know.

Me, Eren, Mikasa and Armin all headed out to the training grounds, where me met our new instructor.

He is a polite and kind man who cares for all of us and makes sure we all feel special.

Okay, who am I kidding.

Instructor Keith Shardis. Previously the 12th commander of the survey corps, now the first stage of intimidation for new recruits. He is the first survey corps commander to past on his title without dying. That says a lot when you think about it.

Oh, and his primary objective appears to be making us feel completely and utterly pathetic.

"Hey Blondie!"

Armin stand stiffly in salute. "Sir!".

"Wha do they call you, maggot?"

"Armin Arlert, From Shiganshina, Sir!"

"Wow, seriously? Why would your parents curse you with such a dumb name."

Reasons he's secretly on my shit list:
1. Insulting Armin.

He makes someone cake Thomas Wagner scream his name at the top of his lungs, poor guys gonna have a sore throat.
A girl called Mina Carolina from one of the outer cities of Wall Rose was overwhelmed by his insults and resorted to high pitch dreamed answers.

Then, he walks up to me.
He looks straight in my soul, trying to put out the fire in my heart so he can re light it the way he wants. But I stare him out and he turns away without a sound, walking straight past Eren and Mika.

And onto a guy named Jean Kirstein. Not gonna lie, he looks kinda like a horse from this angle.
"I'm here to join the military police, sir, the best of the best".
His answer earned him a stern head butt, and he came crashing down on his knees.
Serves him right, why be a cadet if your just gonna get all cushy in the capital?

Then, onto my naive cousin.
Wipe that smile off your face Marco he's so gonna point you out on that.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOUR FACE, YOU SMILING IDIOT??"

Called it.

"I aim to serve the military police and give life and limb and service to the king".

Oh great, now my cousin is a wimp too. Good to know it runs in the family. Thanks Uncle Bodt.

After the instructor is done with him, the smile has been wiped clean off Marco's face.
Then onto a perculiar guy, Connie Springger, if I heard correctly.
First mistake he made? He did the salute backwards. To that, the instructor picked him up by the head and stretched him eyes out.

"IS YOUR HEART ON YOUR RIGHT SIDE!?".

More reasons he's on my shit list:
2. Cruel and unusual punishment.

*CRUNCH*

My eyes widen as I look towards the source of that noise.
A brunette haired girl, eating a potato.

Does she WANT to get killed by Shadis?!

She says her name is Sasha Blouse and that she found the potato alone in the mess hall, and had elected to eat it during introductions.

"Why eat it here?", Keith questions.

"A-Are you asking me why people eat potatoes? I'm surprised you don't know sir."
Everyone turned wide eyed, terrified of what will happen to her.

"Here sir," Sasha breaks her potato and hold it up to Keith's face, "you can have half".

Poor potato girl, forced to run until the sun sets and deprived of meal privileges for the next 5 days.

Oh well, I suppose she had it coming. Still, I don't like to see her running without any food, she could well die.

"So Eren, where did you say you're from?". Connie asks.

Eren places a hand on my shoulder and smiles at me.

"Same place as Armin and (Y/n) here, Shiganshina."

I smile back at him, failing to notice the pink now present in his cheeks.

"Shiganshina really? Then you guys saw it".

"Connie..." Marco tries to stop him worriedly. At least he cares. But Connie wants his answer.

"You saw the colossal one!!"
