Unwanted Attention

Riiight so I decided to do at least one more chapter maybe I dunno

"You saw the colossal one!!"

That statement very nearly ruined the rest of that day.

All through dinner people asked us about our time in Shinganshina during the attack. Horrible memories of what happened came flooding back to me. My mom... Kyo... And not to mention my dad had been missing through all of this.

Eren seemed to be having the same thoughts as he dropped his food and brought a hand to his mouth to prevent him from vommiting.

I looked at him with deep concern and slid my hand ontop of his. After sharing a reassuring gaze, he began to act tough to everyone. Oh, Eren, what am I going to do with you?

To everyone's surprise, during training the next day, he couldnt do a thing. But after intense training with Bertholdt and Reiner that night, he was a pro by morning. He even Did it with busted gear! Words couldnt describe how happy I was, but of course, I hid the fact that I had aced every test we had.

With a triumphant smile, his eyes glanced over to me. They seemed to say "Look, (Y/n), you don't need to protect me anymore". I smiled like a complete idiot at that.

"No, they say, he doesn't need to leave me, not anymore", Mika said. Everyone was confused at that but it was quickly forgotten, like how I'm going to try and forget it now. So cringey.

"(L/n)", Keith calls out to me late at night before dinner. I had just changed into my shirt and skirt when his voice echoed throughout the training grounds. To my surprise, he doesn't sound angry, for once.

(L/n), someone is here to see you". To see me? Who would want to see me? What did I do? I found out as we turned the corner into a selcuded alleyway between the mess hall and the cabins.

Commander Erwin, Leader of the Survey Corps, and my idol. 

Standing next to him is a short, kinda hot, man, maybe 3 or 4 years older than me? His hair was split into curtains down the middle and his features were sharp and handsome.

"Goodevening, Miss (L/n), I am Commander Erwin, and this is one of my most trusted soldiers, Levi." So Levi was his name then, but what did these two gentlemen want with me?

"Im sure you're surprised, but please, you are in no trouble, in fact we have come to make an offer with you". 

An offer. An offer that would change the course of my life.

"What kind of offer are you referiing to, sir?". I try to keep my composure while feeding my curiosity.

"It has come to our attention that your little sister had lost an arm in the previous years, specifically, in Shiganshina." Oh, so that's what this is about.

Levi rolled his eyes, what's his problem!?

"What the commander here is trying to get at is your uncle abandoned your sister infront of the survey corps headquaters." He . Did . WHAT!? "and as she is quite fond of us, and you are at an exceedingly high level in your class, we would like you to become a lieutenant for the survey corps, to secure your place while also keeping your sister safe."

Okay, slow down.

So, my sister is now homeless and has been abandoned by the only real family we have. And to keep her safe .... I have to abandon Eren? Armin? Mikasa?

Every inch of me said no, you can't. But 3 competely different words came out of my mouth.

"I'll do it"
