What's Wrong With Dreaming?

"Just so you know, Eren and (Y/n) want to join the scouts.". As Mikasa bluntly revealed our secret me and Eren look over at her, feeling betrayed.

"GET THAT SUICIDAL THOUGHT OUT OF YOUR HEADS RIGHT NOW!". My mom screams at us with genuine anger. Kyo hides her face in Dr Jaeger's arm, obviously frightened by the noise.
"It's not suicidal!", I retaliate, " We just want to help give humanity a fighting chance!".
"NO CHILD OF MINE IS GOING TO BECOME TITAN FOOD", Mrs Jaeger joins. Dr Jaeger takes this as an opportunity to step in.
"It's a scary world outside the walls, those monsters are a lot more terrifying than you perceive them to be".
"We know that!!", Eren shouts, I look at him in awe as he defends the two of us in from of our parents."We're not stupid, we know how dangerous it is beyond the walls, we know what the titans can do to us. But someone has to venture out there and try, otherwise this nightmare's never going to end!".

Kyo lifts her head and looks to Eren. I can tell she believes him. She always knew that we wanted to leave but never said anything to keep us happy. She's scared to see us leave.

Dr Jaeger stands from his seat and opens the door.
"If that's what you think then our words will not stop you from following that dream." Our moms looked disgusted at his words.
"Now, you two behave and", we watch as he pulls a golden key from around his neck.

"I'll show you what I've been doing in the basement".
