Blue roses

(Chorus)

Roses are red
Though hers were blue
No light in her shed
Caused the flower to fade

Guilty of living a dream
Handicapped by her imperfection
Her self esteem
Was drowning

By her very own mother
Whom couldn't put herself in her shoe
She was made prisoner
Of her different point of view

(Chorus)

She felt alone
Even with her brother being there too
Just like the sole unicorn
Isolated for its difference, a horn

(Chorus)

Indeed, for only company
Keeping her from feeling blue
She had her glass menagerie
An immobile fantasy

(Chorus)

Mere
Until light passed her through
For darkness was no more fear
As the glass dashed from found gleam
