Chapter 6:
I nearly faint! Hearing those words come out of Katniss's mouth. He would threaten Katniss with me? And she must really care about me to do this! I still can't believe he would say that though? Something still isn't right, she did say people? Not just me in general! I must be the only thing in that statement/threat that she really cares about alot! I study her face to see if she's lying or if there's more to it than just me. But I can't see her face because she won't look at me! I love her so much I can't get mad at her....right? But I am mad! I'm mad because she didn't tell me!
I look at her, lift her chin, "Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped more if I knew! AND! Do you even really LOVE me, or was that just an act for Snow?" I almost scream VERY accusingly. I death stare at her. Now I'm upset! I got myself to ask the question I wanted to know for sooo long but I'm too upset to register that I even asked! She keeps looking at her feet still, even after I lifted her chin! "Please answer me, or we're gonna have some problems!" I try to calmly say to her.
This time she lift's her head, " I-I-I" She stops and tears, yet again, start to well up in her eyes. I keep myself from wrapping my arms around her and protecting her. I know she want's me to too! I fall back onto my bed, very frustrated!
"Convince him of what?" I ask staring at the ceiling. She doesn't answer, instead, she jumps into the bed on me and ball's her eyes out into my shirt, that was probably just cleaned! I stroke her neck and arms, until she calms down.
"That you and me aren't just putting on a show and are really together! And YEAH PEETA I REALLY DO LOVE YOU! HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY THINK I DIDN'T!" Her mood suddenly changing! It was kinda scary! I flinch back as she yells, then suddenly her monstrous face changes back to it's regular self that I love!
I study her face, looking her up and down, all I can say is,
"I Love You Too!"
