Chapter 14:
"WOOOAHH!!" I yell, cause I KNOW one of them will shoot Katniss! And I love her too much for her die THIS way!
Katniss runs over and grips into my arms, clearly scared!
The mayor waves all the guns off, "Why shouldn't we kill him, Katniss?" The mayor asks.
"BECAUSE HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG! THAT'S WHY!" She yells at him. I grip her harder. She grabs my arms, so that I'm backwards hugging her while she holds me, too. The mayor starts to glare at her and comes closer. I suddenly get tense, I know what I have to do, I whisper in her ear,
"Can I ask you that question now?" I whisper to her keeping my eyes on the mayor the WHOLE time.
"Now?" I nod my head, then pull something out of my pocket, I get down on the floor, on one knee,
"Katniss Everdeen? I love you more than you know, I've loved you ever since I gave you bread! I've watched you walk home, planned about talking to you, and have watched you grown and sing, then horrendous day of the Hunger Games Reaping, we finally got to be together, not in a good way but I got to spend time and FINALLY talk to you," Katniss starts to cry, she didn't know I was gonna do this, plus it's on live TV across Panam, "Katniss that day you found me dying, was probably the best day in my life, well except for two days ago, and I know you didn't know this was gonna happen, but I finally want to ask you that question that I asked if I could ask you later. May I ?" She starts to cry more but she's smiling and nodding, I open the velvet box I have in my hand with a HUMONGOUS ring inside, "Katniss Everdeen? Will you please be Katniss Mellark?" I ask, as she smiles ,soo wide I think her face might crack,and nods and starts to ball her her eyes out, as we hug and kiss, while everyone who's around us, who was in on the proposal plan, smiles and cheers! She doesn't let go! She was COMPLETELY shocked I never told her I was gonna want to marry her! But by the look on her face, it looks like she actually meant her yes!
"I Love You!!" is all I here in my ear, just as I'm about to respond, someone comes barging threw the giant doors..........
