Chapter 26:

We leave the room and go down stairs to the table to eat. Tonight's dinner is different then other night's dinner's. There is Turkey, mashed potatoes, bread (of course), and cranberry sauce! It's like the Thanksgiving we never had! And it all looks delicious! We sit down, and fill our plate's to it's fullest!

When we've all finished eating, we sit with our bellies stuffed full. Then Roti says, "When can I be a Aunt?" We all look at her with wide eyes, cause we know she means, "When is Katniss and Peeta gonna have a baby?" She just looks around at us all, "What?" She says, lifting and dropping her shoulders. "Roti, Katniss and I aren't going to have a baby soon. We're still seventeen! We aren't even married yet, we're still dating!" I say to her, bumping Katniss slightly, with my hand under the table, as to say play along. "Yeah Roti, we don't even know if we want kids yet! We never talked about any of that stuff." Katniss says, playing along. I glance over at my parents, who seem to buy it! But Jonny doesn't, he knows what's really going on.

Before Katniss came along, Jonny was my best friend. We told each other everything. And right now, he knows that we're lying. So I avoid his gaze. "Oh..OK." Says Roti, digging back into her food. It's starting to get dark out now, and there are no street light's, so if we don't leave soon, we won't leave at all. "Well guys, it's getting dark. We better leave so we can get home and get some rest." I say, standing with Katniss. I go over, and tell everyone good-bye, and so does Katniss. Then we head out the door, leaving to the Village.

"Peeta?"

"Yeah, babe?"

"Can I stay the night with you tonight?" She asks, too shy to look up at me. I stop, and take both of hands into mine, "Of course you can, Katniss! Why would you think you couldn't?" I ask. She starts to get tears in her eyes,

"Because, you yelled at me and don't love me anymore.." She says, starting to cry harder. WHAT?!

"WHAT?! Katniss, of course I love you! I would never NOT love you!" I say, "Katniss, just because I yell at you, doesn't mean I don't love you anymore! I will always love you!" I tell her, but she doesn't answer, she just starts walking towards her house. I follow slowly behind, since I can't walk very fast with my leg. I'm still kinda confused on why she would think that I didn't love her anymore. We get closer to her house as snow starts to fall, heavily! I start to walk a little faster, catching up to Katniss.

 We get inside my house quickly, since mine is the only one with actual food, and shut and lock the door. I start a fire, then turn around to see Katniss go up stairs and hear a door slam shut.
