I heard the click of the shackles being locked, and I tugged at them to find them securely in place, keeping my arms held high. I was in the exact same position as the vampire was before me.
I gritted my teeth, keeping my eyes at Luka, and he did the same.
He tapped on his chin, still having a sinister smile on his lips as he circled around me. "I'm really admiring this position you're in," he touched my bare stomach as the shirt now laid barely below my breasts with the rising of my arms.
He raked his eyes over my body, hungrily, trailing his hand up my side, and to my neck.
"What are you going to do? Bite me?" I quirked my eyebrow, challenging him.
He pressed closer to me, smirking. "No, but you're going to wish I did."
He flicked his gaze back to the man. "She's all yours," he said before stepping back and leaning against the wall. He crossed his arms, still seeming amused by the thought of punishing me. His eyes kept bouncing back and forth between a red dangerous glare, to the icy, deep blue ones I was use to.
I jumped with the sudden noise of the whip smacking against the floor, turning my attention back at the vampire with the whip.
He held it firm against his grip, letting it slither out of his hand delicately before smacking it again on the floor. His lips tilted upward into a smile, and I wondered if all vampires were all this insane.
My breathing hitched as he stepped behind me, ready to strike. I heard the whoosing sound in the air before the pain hit.
I choked on my own breath, feeling an unbearable amount of pain erupt on my back. My nerves were screaming, the pain sweeping to every part of my body, down to my fingertips. Instantly, I felt a liquid run down my back and onto the floor. I knew it was blood.
"10," he spoke.
I looked at him, knowing full well what he meant. I looked at him again, feeling betrayed. The man that had saved me, was now inflicting more pain on me then what he had saved me from. I pleaded with my eyes to make it stop, but was interrupted by another whip to my back.
I could hear a faint scream in my ears only to realize that it was coming from me. I choked again on my own breath, but this time my throat was filled with a coppery taste. I gurgled up blood, spitting it onto the ground.
I tightened my hands around the chains preparing for the next eight to come.
...
By the time the vampire was finished I was slipping between being conscious and unconscious.
When he unchained me, I slumped onto the floor, my throat too parched to even scream at the pain from the pavement hitting my bare back.
I was dying.
I laid there in a puddle of my own blood, fighting to stay awake, but I knew the truth. I was going to die. With this pain, with this blood loss, and even if I managed to stay alive after all of that, I knew that my chance of getting an infection being in these conditions were high.
So I laid there, about to give up, about to close my eyes and end it all, but then there he is.
I cursed at him, seeing his blue eyes looking at me in an unreadable gaze. I cursed at him even more hearing him say, "stay awake." I cursed at him for picking me up into his arms causing chills to run up my body at the touch of his arm hitting my raw back.
