You should really read the ANs' at the ends of the chapter guys. I want to make some friends, and speak with you peoples~

I'm pretty sure the last time I updated I was at 400 reads and now I'm at 7 thousand wow. Where did that come from? Lol.

"Will you be mine."

I was stunned as I watched him with his eyes filled with hope, and something more. I could see the admiration in his eyes as he looked upon me, his thumb stroking my now plumped lips as he gave me a few moments to collect my thoughts, but from the flicker of his eyes I knew that he could hear everything.

I swallowed, prying my face from his grasp needing some space to think properly, and gazed at the floor in hopes of an answer. Naturally, I recollected all the times I have spent with Alec thus far. I knew without him I would have never survived, he was my savior, but what did I feel towards him besides that was hard to understand.

His hands fell to my hands, leaving trails of goosebumps on my arms. He continued rubbing his thumb on his palm as if to ease my thoughts. His eyes flared their golden color as he saw wrinkles start to form in between my brows, and before I could comprehend what he was doing, he flicked me on the head.

I was flustered, slapping my hand over my forehead at the dull, throbbing pain.

"Don't think too much. It's obvious that your answer is a no," I could see the hurt in his eyes even as he tried to play it off. He took a step back, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck trying his best to give me a small smile, but it was if I was being hit by a truck as I felt the waves of sadness roll off of him.

I stayed silent for a while more seeing him look down with a puzzling expression, probably trying to make sense of all of my emotions, heck I knew I was.

"It's not that I don't want you," I said, finally breaking the silence. "I-I just don't know Alec." For some reason I could feel an overwhelming sense of sadness crash into me, tears filling my eyes in waves, and then I was crying.

His arms were around me at the same time the tears began falling. I choked back a sob, not wanting to feel like the weak little girl I was five months ago. I locked those emotions away, but now they seemed to come back with a vengeance. Then I knew. I was afraid.

"Shh it's okay Charity," Alec's chin placed on top of my chin, holding me against him as he tried to calm me down.

I could feel the soft rhythmic thump of his heartbeat under my hand. I pressed my head against his chest, seeking comfort at the sound of his heart. His shoulders were stiff at my actions no doubt from the shooting sparks between us from contact, but he relaxed as soon as my tears stopped.

His fingers gently stroked stands of my hair, and I shivered from the sparks he was causing between us.

"You're afraid," he whispered. I drew back, looking into his eyes as he bent down to cradle my face in his hands.

"I'm afraid," I agreed.

He nodded with understanding, "I get it Charity. Your life has been thrown off balance, but understand that you won't lose me. I'm strong too, I can fight. I can fight for you. I will fight for us." At the last bit, he placed his forehead against mine as he rubbed the back of my neck.
