"Luka stop!" I shrieked as I chased after him. He continued on in a furious pace with his jaw set as I approached him, laying my hand on his arm, forcing him to look at me. I could see a swirl of emotions pass through his electrifying blue eyes as they poured into mine. They fluttered down to my neck, and flashed with fury as he looked at my mark.
"Don't do this Luka," I said in a hushed voice, hoping to get through to him.
I could see his Adam's apple bob up and down as he looked ahead. His hands gathered into fists as he collected his thoughts.
"He marked you," he spat.
"Y-yes," I stuttered out, feeling the teeth marks on surface of my skin once again. The touching of the mark delighted me with little shivers of pleasure, but there was an emptiness. My body whined at the loss of Alec's connection, him being momentarily unconscious.
"Forcefully," he added, leaving me with a frown.
"Yes, but-" His eyes flashed red making me stop my sentence.
"No, you aren't thinking rationally now because of the mark," he snarled, his fangs now peeking out from his mouth. He proceeded walking down the hall with Alec still motionless on his shoulders.
I grabbed at his arm again, but this time he lost patience and flung me to the side. I collided with the wall, and slid down to the floor with a grunt. I looked back at Luka, seeing him pause for a second to look at me with a sorry expression, but quickly masked it and gradually began walking again. I felt my blood boil at his fading presence, my mark stinging with protectiveness over Alec's well being, aching to be by his side again.
I got up, ignoring the dull pain at my side as I marched up to Luka. I scaled down the stairs as I saw Luka heading towards the front door. I knew where he was planning to go, and it made my heart thump loudly in fear for Alec.
"Stop her!" Luka shouted, and within a second a pair of vampires appeared at my sides, holding me back from Luka's retreating figure.
I kicked my legs out, and shoved at the two pair of male vampires I had never met before. I didn't hesitate to latch my teeth into one of their arms, making him yelp out in surprise and release me. I side kicked the other at his knees. He lost his balance and I took the opportunity to kick him again, this time making his head whip to the side from the direct contact at his temple. He fell to the ground unconscious, and I ducked as I heard the other pounce for an attack. He doubled over onto the ground as he missed me, rolling back onto his feet with his fangs bared. I kicked out one of the wooden pawns from the staircase, making a personal stake, ready to take on the vampire. His eyes darted between me and at the weapon in my hands. He used his vampire speed to catch me off guard as he lunged at me. I dropped onto the ground with the stake pointing up, leaving the vampire to land right on top of it, the tip burying deep into his chest with a satisfying twist, burrowing out to the other side of his back. I watched as his jaw slacked open and the life drew out from his eyes. I shoved him to the side without a care as my focus was to save Alec.
I ran out the door, my eyes spotting the entrance to the jail house. A set of chills ran down my back as I remember the lashing I had receiving from Luka months ago.
A pain echoed in my head, making me release a whimper as I rubbed at my temples, knowing Alec was now awake and in pain.
I reached the metal bars, drawing a large breath ready to face Luka's wrath if it was warranted. A scream sounded throughout the cells this time, leaving it to echo through my head. I sprinted forward in a rush, wanting to stop the pain sprouting through my whole body.
