Michelle's P.O.V

Amy, Amanda and I are about to go on to perform our trio but I've been feeling light headed all day, I just hope that it doesn't interfere with the routine.

Chuck: up next is The Next Step, they are back from an internationals win. Let's see how they do.

The 3 of us walk onto the stage and get ready to perform.

We are nearing the end of the routine and I'm feeling really light headed, I just have to try and pull through for the team.

I keep dancing but I can't do it anymore and I collapse.

The last thing I hear are people gasping before my mind goes blank.

Eldon's P.O.V

James, West and I are side stage with Riley watching the girl's trio and they are really impressive.

James: wow.

West: that's good.

I chuckle before we all continue to watch them. They near the end of the dance and I see Michelle wobbling around on one part of the stage and I think that it's a part of the dance, until I see her collapse.

Riley gasps and grabs onto James.

Amanda and Amy quickly rush to her side just as the song stops.

The girls get a standing ovation and the curtains close before Riley runs to Michelle's side.

Riley: Michelle?

I hear a muffle before West and I are pushed out of the way and paramedics place her onto the bed before wheeling her out into the foyer and we follow suit.

What just happened?

Riley's P.O.V

Riley: is she okay?

I ask as tears cover my sight, the nurse turns to face me and the others before taking a deep breath.

Nurse: no, she will be unable to dance for the next week meaning that she won't be participating in the rest of the competition.

I sigh.

We have no alternates and that means that if we make it to the finals, we won't have enough dancers.

James: it's okay Riles.

James says pulling me into a side hug.

Eldon's P.O.V

Eldon: can I talk to her?

Riley: sure.

Her and the others walk away and back into the auditorium while I take a seat next to Michelle.

Eldon: hey Michelle, it's Eldon. I hope you are feeling okay, just be okay for the team. They need you, I need you.

I pause and look around before continuing.

Eldon: remember internationals? When we almost kissed? I need to kiss you now, at regionals. Be okay, win and make the team proud.

As I'm about to stand up I hear mumbling.

Michelle: Eldon?

Eldon: yeah.

Michelle: how long do I have to wait to make you happy?

I smile instantly knowing what she's talking about.

Eldon: not long.

I lean over and give her a kiss, the one that we were meant to have at internationals.

Eldon: I love you.

Michelle: I love you too.

We grin at each other. I'm glad she's okay, now to get her on stage for the finals that I know they will make.
