Unexpected (Dance Moms Fic)

Chapter 8: Introducing

It was finally the night of the annual Abby Lee Dance Company showcase and at the North Shore Center For The Performing Arts in Skokie, where it was being held at. Families, friends of the dancers, ALDC Alumni and everyone who came to support the studio were in the audience, which meant that the place was sold out like a Bulls or a Blackhawks game at the United Center. The stage was covered by curtains as everybody was waiting for the show to start, the audience couldn't wait to see the dances that were on the program

"I'm nervous about our dance." Holly admitted.

"Me too." Kelly added.

"We got this, stay calm." Cathy told them, secretly, she had an idea of her own.

"Whatever you say, smurfette." Christi said that last word under her breath.

"Why did we let Abby and Logan do this to us?" Melissa muttered under her breath.

Then minutes later, the lights went out and with that, the showcase was about to begin and many acts had passes and next was Brooke, who was in the wings of the stage ready to do her solo that she was unable to do when her hip was hurting her.

"The Abby Lee Dance Company proudly would like to present It's Electric by Brooke!" Abby announced as the audience applauded. Brooke came from the wings of the stage and she was in a Capri unitard of multicolored fiol print and black spandex with inserts of black sequin stretch mesh and she stood. Brooke started dancing and she was doing well with the moves that she was taught by Abby, Gianna and Logan and she kept it up until the music ended and she left the stage and had to do a quick change and minutes later, she was ready for the group routine.

"The Abby Lee Dance Company now presents it's a hard knock life based off of Annie!" Chloe, Maddie, Mackenzie, Nia, Brooke, Paige, Kendall and Vivi-Anne headed on to the stage and they were all decked out in a cotton chambray pinafore-style dress that had floral print sleeves and him, cotton patches on the dress that matched the plaid handkerchief hair wrap and they were also wearing poly trunks and Knit bloomers. The girls all began dancing in sync from the very start of the routine and Vivi had trouble trying to keep up, but she made up for it and when the music ended, they left the stage.

After a few more acts had passed, the stage curtains were closed as everyone was waiting to see what was going to come next. "Next, we have a vocal performance by Logan Miller, who will be singing 2 Unlimited's Get Ready For This featuring Kendall!"

There was applause as the stage lights went out and everyone was waiting for the vocal performance An eurodance song with elements of rap began playing and the stage lights were still out and the curtains were starting to open.

"Are you ready for this?" The voice of logan was heard, then the stage lights came on and Logan was on the stage with a microphone, his hair was in a ponytail and he was wearing a sunglasses, Chicago White Sox jersey, white t-shirt, black trackpants and Adidas sneakers and the audience was out of their seats and jumping to the beat and dancing and on the stage with him were four male dancers, which were some old friends of his and they danced at Abby's studio when they were younger. They were doing a choreographed dance to the music.
