With the last of the routines had been done at Nationals and now, everyone who had competed were all on stage for awards to see who would be the National Champion of dance and it kicked off with the elite mini soloist division awards and places 10-2 had been announced and the first place elite mini soloist winner was about to be announced.
"And our first place overall mini soloist national champion is Brookie from the Abby Lee Dance Company with Everlasting!" The announcer announced as Brookie got up and got her trophy from the announcer with a grin on her face.
"All right, Brookie!" Hollie cheered, then they moved on to the elite junior soloist division awards and places 10 through 4 were announced and the top three winners were going to be announced next.
"In third place we have Chloe from the Abby Lee Dance Company with One Dance!" The announcer said as Chloe got up and got her award from the announcer.
"In second place we have Maddie from the Abby Lee Dance Company with Simplicity!" Maddie got up and got her award, even though she got second place, she knew that there was next year.
"And our first place overall junior soloist national champion is.......Kendall from the Abby Lee Dance Company with Ignite!" Kendall had a look of joy on her face as she got up and got her national champion and that put huge smiles on Abby and Logan's faces.
"Yeah, Kendall!" Abby and Logan both cheered with joy on their faces.
"Chloe, Maddie and Kendall all did a wonderful job today." Holly said.
"They all did." Kelly agreed.
"We're so proud of them." Melissa commented.
"Hard work through this season paid off today." Hollie stated.
"Now, let's cap it off with our group dance winning the national title." Christi added, then after the duet/trio awards section had passed, the small group section awards, which were the last awards of the competition were next and places 10-2 were announced and the ALDC and CADC hasn't been announced as first place was about to be announced.
"Please let it be us that wins." Logan said to himself.
"I agree." Abby stated.
"Don't let it be them that wins." Cathy muttered.
"And our overall first place national champion of dance is.....Thinking Out Loud by the Abby Lee Dance Company!" Maddie, Mackenzie, Nia, Brooke, Paige, Chloe, Kendall and Brookie all smiled widely as they got up to get their trophy from the announcer as Abby, Logan, Gianna and the moms all cheered as confetti fell behind the girls as Cathy and the moms of the Candy Apples looked on.
"How we lost to Abby, i'll never know." Kelli muttered.
"Let them have this one, they might have won this year, but next year, we're gonna come back better than ever and beat them." Cathy told them.
"You know it." Barb added.
"And they'll be the ones leaving with their tails between their legs." Tanya said.
"I can't wait for that." Nicole stated.
Later on, the moms were all in the dressing room and were happy that their daughters were the national champions.
"We're champs!" Hollie cheered.
"You know it, we beat Cathy and her minions!" Kelly stated.
"They couldn't handle us." Christi added.
"We knew they could do it from the start." Holly said.
"Also our road trip is coming up soon. Also, from what Abby told us that we'll start our road trip on July 8th, which was a friday." Kelly informed them.
"We'll be ready then." Melissa told her, then the door opened and running in was the girls and seconds later, Abby, Logan and Gianna all walked in with huge smiles on their faces.
"You did it, girls!" Abby cheered as she hugged the girls.
"You sure did!" Logan and Gianna both said, then like Abby, they hugged the girls.
"No, we all did it together!" Nia told them.
"We beat those Crabby Apples!" Brooke stated.
"Bet you that Cathy and her team of minions won't show up to face us again next year." Paige predicted.
"Paigey, more than likely, we'll be facing them again next year." Gianna warned.
"Gia's right, she'll find a way to try to beat us and who knows what she's gonna do next year?" Logan wondered.
"And we'll figure out how we can beat Cathy." Abby added.
"You know it." Melissa stated.
"How about we do the chant since we're national champs?" Kelly asked.
"Sounds like a plan!" Hollie stated as everyone put their hands in to do the Abby Lee Dance Company chant.
"1...2...3!" Abby began.
"We are Abby Lee!" The moms and girls chanted.
"4...5...6!" Logan added.
"You should see our kicks!"
"7 and 8!" Gianna exclaimed.
"We are really great!"
"9 and 10!" Abby, Logan and Gianna all said.
"We just won again!" Everyone all exclaimed and then they started to pack up and then they left, as they walked, they saw Cathy and the Candy Apples, who were stoic but knew they would face them again next year and once the ALDC was outside, they got on the bus and it took them to the airport and they got on a flight back home to Chicago, they finished the season with the National Title and next year, they would be ready to defend their title.
