That upcoming saturday afternoon, Logan was seen leaving his house and the competition that the ALDC had been planning to go to had been cancelled at the last second, so Abby had suggested that she and Logan walk down the north shore channel trail next McCormick Boulevard

Logan arrived at the parking lot near the trail and parked next to his mother's truck and Abby was standing there watching her son approach after he had gotten out of the navigator.

"Hello, Logie." Abby said to her son and hugged him.

"Hello, mom." Logan responded and then they began to walk south down the trail. "Where's Kendall K?"

"Kendall's with Maddie and Gianna at Six Flags Great America." Abby answered. "Remember when we used to walk down the North Shore Channel Trail when you were little?"

"Yes, i do." Logan answered. "Sometimes grandma would join us and when you adopted Kendall, we started to bring her along with us when she got older and sometimes, we'd sit at the creek."

"Yep, and whenever we had the chance, we'd walk next to Lake Shore Drive and one time, we walked as far as 57th street. And whenever we walked down this path, I'd see the smile on your face as we walked down this path and i held your hand." Abby told him. "What a season we've hard and Nationals is getting closer."

"You know it, first we'll be competing here next weekend, then we head to Vegas to compete at Thunderstruck, then Los Angeles for Hollywood Vibe and finally Nationals in Lake Tahoe and i'm very excited about this."

"Logan, you sure love to travel and i'm so glad you're my son. I love you so much." Abby said, wrapping an arm around him.

"And i'm so glad you're my mother and i wouldn't have it any other way and i love you too, mom." Logan answered as Abby then gave him a hug and he hugged her back and an hour later after walking back and forth, they heard their stomachs growl as they were at the parking lot.

"Mom, all that walking made me hungry." Logan admitted.

"Me too." Abby added. "I'm in the mood for some Olive Garden. What about you?"

"Count me in, mom." Logan agreed, then they got in their SUV's and left the parking lot and a minute later, pulled up in the parking lot of Olive Garden, they parked next to each other and walked inside and got a table for two, which was next to a window that gave a view of McCormick Boulevard and a waitress approached them.

"Hello, Sally is my name and i'll be your waitress, would you like the appetizers to start off or skip straight to the meal?" Sally asked.

Abby and Logan looked at each other, then they turned to Sally as Logan spoke. "We'd like to go straight to the meal."

"Ok, what would you like?"

"I'd like to have the Fettuooine Alfredo with a Coca Cola with no ice." Abby told Sally.

"I'll have the Chicken Alfredo with a Sprite with no ice." Logan stated.

"Ok, your food will be ready in 10 minutes." Sally said, then she left their table to serve another table, then Abby saw Logan was deep in thought about something and from the way he was thinking, she knew that her son was going to come up with a good idea.

"What's on your mind?" Abby asked her son, noticing that he was deep in thoughts about something, then he snapped his fingers.

"I've got it! Mom, i have a great idea for next weekend's competition, which will be here in Chicago." Logan said to Abby.

"What's your idea, my dear son?" Abby asked, wondering what her son had up his sleeve.

"Here's my suggestion..." Logan stated as he then whispered in his mother's ear on what he had in mind fof the competition, and as Abby listened to what her son suggested, she had a grin on her face and started to laugh.

"Logan, you never fail to come up with some great ideas." Abby stated and 10 minutes later, they got their food and began to eat.

"So which way will we head when we start our cross country road trip after Nationals?" Logan wondered as he ate his meal.

"Well, we can go down the I-57 heading south and we can either go to St Louis or head to the states heading east or even stay going downwards to the south." Abby suggested as she ate.

"Those sounds like some great ideas, i might want to head to the states in the east because i'd love to see the smoky mountains in Chattanooga." Logan said. "And out of all the moms that have given us drama, Cathy has given us the most drama because she thinks she's better than us."

"Like we've said before, she doesn't like not being in control, but she's in my studio, so she and Vivi have to follow the rules there and not question us." Abby stated as they continued eating and then when they were done, Logan and Abby left a tip and they left Olive Garden, then they went to their homes for the night.
