Unexpected (Dance Moms Fic)

Chapter 20: Fun day in Tinseltown

Two days later, it was wednesday and that was the day that Abby, Logan, Gianna, the moms and the girls were on their day off from rehearsal and the time was 1:00 PM.

On Santa Monica Boulevard, There was a diner named Cafe 50's and walking toward the entrance was Abby, Logan, Kendall and Maddie. Abby and her two kids offered to have Maddie come with them while Melissa was with Hollie, Brookie and Mackenzie. The four walked into the diner, which had a 50's style interior with a jukebox.

"I haven't been in here since i was 12." Logan said.

"This is a real nice diner." Maddie stated.

"From what mom told me, it is." Kendall agreed, then they got seated at a booth, sat down in the booth and there were menus and silverware on the table, they got the menus and looked at them.

"What are you all going to get?" Abby asked. "I'm gonna get the California Grilled Chicken Salad

"I'm gonna get a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich." Logan said.

"I might be getting the Patty Melt." Kendall stated.

"I'll have what you're having, Miss Abby." Maddie commented, then the waiter came to their table and took their orders, then he told them that their food would be ready in 10 minutes and exactly 10 minutes later, their food arrived and they begain eating.

"Maddie, you've won most times, but Kendall has been nipping at your heels recently. If you two faced off at Nationals, the judges would be fighting themselves to pick which one of you is the national champion." Logan said to Maddie.

"It could." Maddie responded, then she looked at Abby. "Miss Abby?"

"Yes?" Abby responded.

"Has Logan ever went fishing before?"

"Yes, he has. Before my father passed away, he taught Logan how to fish when he was seven." Abby said.

"He might do some fishing from what he told me." Kendall added.

"Yeah, i might." Logan stated, then he turned to his sister and Maddie. "Are you looking forward to the upcoming road trip that we'll be going on after Nationals?"

"I sure am. Like you, i'm gonna love seeing the sights as we go on the road trip." Kendall told her brother.

"Maybe we could stop at a Six Flags or visit the Smoky Mountains." Maddie suggested.

"Those do sound like good ideas." Abby stated.

On Figueroa Street, Holly and Nia were at the Staples Center looking at the arena that was home to the Lakers, Clippers, Sparks and the Kings. A few feet from the arena was the Los Angeles Convention Center, which usually held convention events like dance, auto and other events.

"That's a nice looking arena." Holly said.

"Yep and when it's night, it's lit up in blue and sometimes, it's lit up in green." Nia added.

"And we've seen it on TV." Holly told her. "Before this arena was built, i remember when the Lakers and Kings played at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood and i actually went to a Lakers game there the last year that they played at The Forum."

"How was it?"

"It was good."

"Do you think we might get a chance to go to a Lakers or a Clippers game here one day?" Nia asked.

"We just might, because we've been to a lot of Bulls and Blackhawks game back home in Chicago at the United Center." Holly answered.

'Who knows?" Nia wondered, then they took a few pictures there and enjoyed themselves there and it was close to the hotel that they were staying in.

Meanwhile, at a beach, Hollie and Melissa were sitting in some beach chairs as Mackenzie and Brookie were just having fun and they all had put on some sunscreen to keep from being sunburnt.

"Mom, we're going to play frisbee." Mackenzie said to Melissa.

"Play safely, girls." Melissa informed them.

"And make sure to stay where we can see you." Hollie told them.

"We will." Brookie added.

"Go long, Brookie Cookie!" Mackenzie told her best friend.

"Ok, Kenzie!" Brookie responded as she saw Mackenzie throw the frisbee, then she raced to catch it and after being 12 feet from her, Brookie the leapt up and caught the frisbee.

"Cool catch!" Mackenzie commented.

"All right, Kenzie, here it comes!" Brookie told her, then she threw the frisbee to Mackenzie, who moved backwards to catch it, when it got close enough, she did a backwards diving catch and caught the frisbee, the two continued playing frisbee.

"Do you think we might go Hiking when we arrive in Lake Tahoe?" Hollie asked.

"We might go hiking, Abby said that she took Logan hiking a few times that they've been there and Kendall would go with them as well after Abby adopted her." Melissa replied.

At a nail salon, Gianna was inside getting a pedicure and with her was Kelly and Brooke and they were getting a pedicure with her as well, Gianna was getting red nail polish for her toenails as Kelly got white nail polish and Brooke got the blue nail polish.

"Gianna, quick question for you." Brooke said.

"Ask away, Brooke." Gianna responded.

"Have you ever been to a hockey game other than a Blackhawks game?"

"Well, i have, one time when we were in New York, i went to a Rangers game at Madison Square Garden with Logan and Abby. They were playing the islanders, who play in Nassau and the Rangers won that game." Gianna answered.

"I went to a L.A. Kings game once." Kelly said. "It was amazing."

"Yep." Brooke agreed.

"Logan is a huge sports fan, he was not a happy camper that the Canucks beat the Blackhawks in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but he admitted that the Blackhawks were still in their hangover from winning the Stanley Cup last year." Gianna told them.

"The Canucks and Bruins play in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight." Brooke stated.

"I'll say the Bruins win tonight." Kelly predicted.

"Me too." Gianna said.

Meanwhile, at a popular mall in Los Angeles known as the Beverly Center, Christi was seen arriving with Chloe and Paige, they entered and looked up and saw the escalators

"That's a long way up, mom." Chloe told Christi.

"It sure is." Christi stated.

"That's what i said the first time i ever came here." Paige said. "And this is one of the top malls in Los Angeles and i know Miss Abby brought Logan here a lot of times and when she adopted Kendall, they brought her along as well."

"Yep." Chloe said. "What stores should we visit?"

"Maybe Nordstrom or Bloomingdales." Paige suggested.

"How about Macy's?" Christi asked, then the three got on the escalators and they were now in the mall and saw so many stores, they walked to the stores they had wanted to visit there and everyone met up at the hotel and relaxed for the day, but what none of them knew was that they were about to have an unexpected guest on saturday...
