In a town in Illinois called Lincolnwood, which is close to Chicago, the day was April 18th and there was a building on Touhy Avenue near Lincoln Avenue and it had an additional level and over the entrance of the building, there was a logo that said "Abby Lee Dance Company" and a truck which is a red Lincoln Navigator pulled into the parking lot and parked. Getting out of the car was a young man with long jet black hair and brown eyes, he was wearing sunglasses, a black Chicago Blackhawks t-shirt, matching trackpants and Adidas superstar sneakers. The young man was named Logan Alexander Miller, and he was making his way to the entrance.
Logan then arrived at the door, he opened it and entered and saw a heavyset woman around 45 with green eyes and brown hair and her name is Abby Lee Miller, who is the chief choreographer of the studio and the mother of Logan, actually, she is Logan's adoptive mother because she found him as an abandoned baby on her doorstep and adopted him. Also with Abby was a 8 year old girl with brown hair and gray eyes named Kendall, who is wearing dancewear that was red and black and she is the adopted daughter of Abby and Logan's adoptive sister and a dancer for the studio. Kendall was adopted by the dance teacher several weeks prior to christmas when she was one day old because her biological mother was suffering from an unknown disease that couldn't be cured and left her on Abby's doorstep. Eventually, like Logan, she considered Abby as her mother and all three of them have a close relationship.
"Hello, big bro!" Kendall said, as she got up and headed over to Logan, then she hugged him.
"Hello to you, little sis." Logan responded, hugging Kendall back as Abby smiled at the bond her two kids have, then he headed over to her. "Hello, mom."
"Hi, sweetheart." Abby stated as she hugged her adopted son. "How's it going?"
"It's going good." Logan said as he sat next to his mother. "We got our butts kicked big time at the competition in Dallas."
"Tell me about it." Abby agreed. "None of our dances placed anywhere at all whatsoever."
"But we'll win next time." Kendall assured.
"I hope so, Freebird. I hope so." Abby told her adopted daughter, then they looked at the entrance/exit and coming into the parking lot was a GMC Yukon Denali that was colored silver and parked next to Abby's vehicle, which is a red 2005 Escalade. Getting out of the SUV was a 42 year old woman with ash blonde hair and her name was Melissa Ziegler and also getting out of the SUV were two girls, one was eight and her name was Maddie and the other girl, who was around six was named Mackenzie and they were the daughters of Melissa as the three walked inside of the studio.
"Hey, Mads! Hey, Kenzie! Hey, Melissa!" Logan greeted the Zieglers.
"Hello there, Logan." Maddie said.
"Hi, Logan." Mackenzie responded.
"How are you?" Melissa asked, giving him a hug, then Maddie and Mackenzie hugged him too.
"We're doing good." Abby responded.
"We're just ready for another week and hopefully the competition that's coming up will be better than the one we had recently went to." Maddie told her dance teacher, then she turned to Kendall. "Hi, KK."
"Hello, Freebird." Mackenzie added.
"Hello, Maddog. Hello, Kenzie." Kendall stated and they hugged.
"We're gonna head to the dancer's den and get ready." Mackenzie told them and they headed to the dancer's den as another vehicle, which was a orange Rolls Royce and getting out of the car was a woman with short hair and she was around 51 going on 52 and with her was a girl that was 6. The woman's name was Cathy Nesbitt-Stein and the girl was her daughter, Vivi-Anne.
