Unexpected (Dance Moms Fic)

Chapter 6: Being Sneaky, It's solo time

At around 8:24 AM that saturday, the ALDC's bus had arrived at Milwaukee and pulled up to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and came to a stop.

"All right, we're here!" Logan called. "Everyone off the bus!"

"Make sure to get your things." Abby added as everyone got off of the bus and headed to the luggage compartment of the bus and got their bags and walked insid of the auditorium and they were gonna compete on the first level auditorium, they reached a door that said ALDC, which is their dressing room for the day, then minutes later, Cathy and Vivi arrived.

"Melissa, Cathy, get Vivi and Mackenzie ready." Gianna stated as Melissa and Cathy started to do their makeup, they were given their costumes.

Vivi was the first to leave the changing section and she was in a checkerboard-printed bodice with an ultra sparkle sequin spandex heart-shaped bodice inset and bow, with a tulle neck ruffle. Also, it had an organza top skirt with ribbon trim that covered the glitter underskirt and attached were nylon/spandex trunks.

Mackenzie was next and she was in a black stretch velvet biketard that had an iridescent sequin bofice and sleeve insets with a two-tone bustle with sequin was attached on the side and she had a feather hair patch on her hair.

"Great costumes, you two." Christi commented, then they were told that Vivi and Mackenzie's solos would go first, so Abby, Logan, Gianna, Chloe, Maddie, Brooke, Paige, Nia, Kendall and the moms all went to their seats to watch the competition.

"Up next in our elite mini soloist division we have Vivi with Heads will Roll!" Vivi headed out on stage and stood on stage, then she began dancing when the music started, but however, she was doing some different steps to the music, then she finished her solo, headed off stage as Abby, Logan and Gianna looked at each other while Cathy cheered.

"Mom, Gia, those aren't the steps we taught Vivi." Logan told his mother and girlfriend.

"I agree." Gianna agreed.

"If those aren't our moves, then who taught her that?" Abby wondered as both Logan and Gianna shrugged.

"Whoever taught Vivi those steps probably has brains the size of a small coin." Christi added.

"I know, right?" Kelly agreed.

"Our girls do the moves that Abby, Logan and Gianna teach them, somebody must have done secret choreography." Melissa stated as Cathy looked nervous as she heard the moms talking about Vivi's routine.

"Had that been any of our girls, we wouldn't hear the end of it and more than likely, we would have been thrown out of her studio." Holly stated.

"Coming up we have Mackenzie with A World Alone!" Cheers were heard as Mackenzie headed on to the stage, she began dancing the minute the music began and unlike Vivi, she did the steps that Abby, Logan and Gianna had taught her. She made sure she stayed on beat and kept it that way until the music ended, she left the stage to applause, then they started off with the mini soloist division awards with places 10 through 9 being announced, then 8th was next.

"In eighth place in our mini soloist division we have Vivi with Heads Will Roll." The announcer said as Vivi got up and got her award and the announcer asked her how the routine was done and who choreographed it.

"Who taught you this number?"

"Cathy Jean Nesbitt Stein." Vivi stated.

"Also, what is the name of the dance studio that you're from?"

"I am from the Candy Apples Dance Center."

The very moment Vivi said that, the moms and girls cringed as Abby looked agitated and she turned to Logan and Gianna, who both were as agitated as she was while Cathy looked a little tense and nervous because they knew Abby and her son would not be happy campers.
