Im Going Back On Tour

DANIEL POV

"Dig. We got a hit here! All the honeys are gonna love this!" Perry said as Trevor danced to the music behind him.
"We need to release this and some tour dates." Perry said again.
"Hell yes! Set this up!" I said excitedly. Trevor looked at me concerned.
Perry got onto some phone calls as Trevor and I sat and talked.
"What?" I asked.
"You gonna tell your girl you're leaving?" Trevor asked me. He was texting quickly on his phone, I'm assuming he was telling Zendaya too.
"I'm gonna wait til I get home and tell her." I replied.
"Dude, you have a son. Don't get used to leaving him. And Sloane should know before you say yes dickhead."
"Fine I'll call." I huffed angrily. I walked out into the hallway as the phone rang.
"Hey baby! You write me a song yet?" She answered happily.
"Not yet love. You got a minute? I need to talk to you about something."
"Uh-oh. What's going on?" She asked.
"I'm going on tour. Trevor and I are-"
"Are you fucking serious Daniel?" She hollered.
"When were you gonna ask me?!" She kept screaming.
"Sloane, I don't need permission. This is what I do, you knew tha-"
Her voice got real calm over the phone as she cut me off again.
"This is not a conversation I wanna have over the phone. Come home now."
She hung up.
I stood still, a little shaken I think.
Who does she think she is?
I walked back in as Perry was talking.
"Alright so I started calling some places, setting up concerts and what not. I'm thinking 6 months tops. The whole west coast. Yeah?"
Trevor's gaze instantly hit mine for confirmation.
"Sounds good to me man. As long as I'm back in time for Josiah's first birthday."
Trevor rolled his eyes. Perry looked a bit skeptical.
"I'll see what I can do." He replied lowly.
"You boys are free to go." He left the room.
"What did Sloane say?" Trevor asked.
"She wants to talk about it at home. Thanks to you I already got a mouthful over the phone." I sighed heavily.
"You guys don't have a bad relationship. All I'm saying is you should've consulted her." He said.
"Yeah I got that part. And I'll finish consulting at home. Seeya later man." I said.
"Seeya." He replied.

I was unlocking the front door as Sloane sat on the floor with Si waiting for me in the living room. She called my name as I was walking up the stairs.
"Daniel."
"Yes?"
"Can we talk?" She asked. I came back down, plopping onto the couch.
"I want to go on tour Sloane. It's only for six months, I'll be back before you know."
"That's all fine and dandy but what about Josiah? Going on tour was fine when it was me and you, but we have a child now. If you go on that tour, you're gonna miss all kinds of milestones. Especially his first birthday Daniel."
"I'm not gonna miss it. Perry said he'll figure it out."
"Oh he'll figure it out? My bad. Go on tour then babe! Cause Perry got you fucking covered." She hollered sarcastically. Her tone was getting louder and angrier.
"Sloane c'mon. He'll be fine. Kale is here!" I replied.
"If you leave, he's not gonna remember you when you get back. Kale has school and I'm not gonna push a baby on a damn chemistry major. He's got enough on his plate, and he didn't make this kid. We did. Josiah is OUR responsibility."
Josiah watched intently at Sloane's face. Almost as if he were worried.
"I understand that, but it's just 6 months Sloane." I pleaded.
"You wanna go so bad and abandon your family? Go. Do what you gotta do for your 'career' asshole." She picked up Josiah and stormed off upstairs to our bedroom.
