Time Away

Oh Baby

Daniel POV

"Josiah.." I called to Sloane's belly. She was out cold. It seemed to be a habit of mine to talk to my little man while she slept. I just finally had a name for him.
"Si.. I like that." I whispered.
"Si, this is your daddy." I kept rubbing her belly, and her hips. She always says Si weighs down on her hips.
Having a baby is truly an experience.
I held off of everything for awhile to be with Sloane. I couldn't imagine leaving her all alone with a baby.
I felt a kick from Sloane's stomach, against the palm of my hand.
"I love you little man." There was another sharp kick against my hand.
I fell asleep rubbing her belly and talking to Si.

1 month later

"Si, you ready to come see Mommy and Daddy?" I whispered to Sloane's stomach.
I rubbed her belly, kissing her belly button.
"Si, Daddy's ready to see you." I poked her belly.
" I love it so much when you do that." Sloane said in a low tone.
"Oh uh, morning baby." I moved from her belly and kissed her lips.
"Thought I should tell you I've been up every time you've done that." She smirked.
"I didn't wanna ruin your moments with Si." She smiled. I just buried my face in her chest.
"I really loved when you started calling him that baby. It was cute." I kissed her neck.
She kissed my forehead, running her fingers through my curls awhile.
After some time, I noticed her shifting around uncomfortably a bit and it was becoming more frantic. She grunted a little. I looked up to a pained look on Sloane's face.
"What's wrong baby?" I asked curiously.
I tried to keep a hold on her as she stood to her feet slowly. She screamed as she gripped my arms tightly, when something wet hit my feet.

Her water broke.
