Sloane POV

All I remember is crying and screaming and screaming and crying as Daniel looked for the baby bag and ran for Andrea. And then everything went black.

Daniel POV
"Andrea, wake up!" I shook her violently and ran out the room hollering,
"SLOANE'S IN LABOR!!"

I ran back to the room with the baby bag in tow, to see Sloane on the floor shaking violently. I held her body and her head down so the shaking wouldn't be as volatile.
"ANDREA CALL 911!!"
She ran into Sloane's room seeing what happened. She was crying as she dialed the number from her phone.
"Hello! Hey, I n-need you to send an ambulance to 324 S Chambers S-street!.. Please my friend is in labor and she's having some kind o-of seizure!.. Yes m-ma'am! Thank you!"
She looked to me as she held Sloane's hand.

"Just hold her down."

We sat in silence by Sloane's now still body, sobbing to ourselves. After 5 minutes there's was a loud bang by the door and Andrea ran to answer it. She had stopped breathing at this point.

"Thank you ma'am, were her-"
"She's in here!" Andrea interrupted running off, as the ambulance personnel introduced themselves. They ran behind her to take hold of the situation. I moved out of the way, passing her off softly to the paramedic. He gave her CPR and unblocked her airways, putting on an air mask as Sloane came to. They rushed her off in the ambulance car and sped off, with Andrea and I trailing behind.

I've never seen her do that.." I whispered to myself.
"Me either." Andrea said, wiping a tear.

3 hours later

I held Sloane's hand as I sat bedside, praying and kissing her hand as much as I could.
Baby I love you. Please be okay. I said it every time I kissed her.

At this time, she had came to but wasn't exactly all here with us in that hospital bed. I had called both our families, they were on their way to see Sloane. Her mother couldn't stop crying on the phone after I called.

Kale: We're here.
Daniel: Room 902

Soon enough, Kale and Miss Tantie were in the room. Kale teared up as Sloane weakly raised her hand towards them. He hugged his sister, kissing her forehead and then hugged me. His mother did the same and they then both found seats nearby as they cried quietly.

Sloane would now flinch or grip tight on my hand.
"Wha 'appened to me baby Daniel?" Miss Tantie whimpered.

"Miss Tantie.. The doctor said that she had a small case of eclampsia.. it's seizures that occur during a pregnancy and something that shouldn't have occurred during labor... She was a "rare case."

She cried harder as Kale held her close.

"Mom she'll be fine. She's tough, she's always been." He wiped his tears.

Andrea had just came in with some yogurts for us, but quickly offered them to Kale and Miss Tantie. They refused.
"Are you sure Miss T? Kale I know you could eat!" She smiled weakly. They refused again and she handed me a yogurt and a spoon and ate her own. Miss T held her hand smiling back.

Just then my parents waltzed in, rushing to Sloane's side. Sloane smiled weakly as they kissed her head also. My mom teared up a bit, as they hugged everyone else in the room.

The doctor then arrived to check on Sloane.

"Hey sweetheart. I'm Doctor Chandler and I'll be delivering our baby boy! Come on everybody smile! We're gonna have a boy!" He said cheerfully, causing all to laugh.

He smiled, clicking around on the computer.

"Dad, please stand with me and hold Mom's hand as I check on the little man." I stood, as I watched him reach under Sloane's gown and checking on Si.

"His head is close and she's already 6 centimeters so hopefully we don't have much longer now."
Everyone looked at the doctor cautiously.

"Miss Sawyers is absolutely fine. It was a small case of eclampsia, we have her under control and everything will be fine. The nurses and I will be back periodically to check on Sloane."

We all relaxed a bit as we waited solemnly for Josiah. After some time, we were asleep.

It was about 2:30 in the morning when the doctor said she was ready to push. Both of our mothers and I stayed in the room as Sloane gave birth. I held her leg and her hands as she pushed. All I remembered was her deafening screams before I heard a new one.
Josiah.

He wailed loudly as Sloane sobbed. The doctors cleaned up my boy as they got Sloane together.

"You did it S! Oh my gosh, you did it." I kissed her lips. Sloane couldn't stop crying as they handed Josiah over to her. I kissed his head, running my hand through hers.
