Party!!

Sloane POV

"Babe, this is plenty decorations up!!" Andrea said to me, taking the streamers away.
"You sure?" Daniel laughed.
"Oh baby! Can you call Kale? See where he is?" He nodded.
"Andrea I'm so nervous. Both of our parents are coming and it's nerve wracking. Everything has to be perfect."
"I promise everything will be fine babes."
"Yeah it's gonna be the best baby shower ever!" Roger exclaimed.
He gave me a hug and put out some more food.
"Kale said he's five minutes away." Daniel said. He took my hands in his.
"It's gonna be fine." He looked in my eyes. Slow dancing to nothingness.
"Music! Oh Andy, where's your speakers? Soft music please!" I broke from his grasp to help her get it together.

Once setup, she made a list of music for me that was chill but not so crazy.
"Smoke music" she called it.
"Smoke mu-" I asked. Just then there was a knock.
"Mind your business." She stated simply, her finger to her lips.
"Hey party people!!" Kale hollered walking in with more food.
"Hello everybody." My mother said politely, with even more food.
"Mommie that's a lot!" I said to her shocked.
"You don cook for des people! Wha ya have? Chips?" Every one laughed as I crossed my arms.
"Thank you Mommie."
"Ya welcome, come and help me baby there's more in the de car." I followed Kale out to the car to get more and set it up on the food table. She brought curry chicken, rice and beans, dumplings, lamb (since Daniel liked it so much) and more.

"She really went all out." I said to Kale.
"Shut up, she's finally coming around to being a grandmom. You know how she gets when she's excited." I laughed.
"The kitchen is probably full of shit huh?" I laughed some more.
"Stocked for DAYS." He said, laughing too.

As we carried the food in, Trevor and Zendaya pulled up.
"Hey pretty lady!" Zendaya hollered out her window. I waved as they parked and got out to help us.

"Is that Zendaya?!" Kale's eyes light up.
"Yeah.." I smiled widely.
"Z and Kale kissi-"
"I'm gonna do a lot more than just kiss her." He licked his lips, watching her walk towards us.
"Boy go!" I said kicking his leg, as my hands were full.

"Oh, let me help you out mama." Trevor said, grabbing the tray from me.
"I don't wanna sound rude, but isn't the food supposed to be already in the house?" Zendaya asked, a little puzzled. I laughed.
"Our mom cooked all this and brought it over." Kale replied, following behind Z.
"There's more inside, so please take plates home!" I said. We all laughed.
We sets the trays down in the kitchen and everyone settled into the apartment. I grabbed Daniel and stood in the middle of the living room.

"Everyone! Everybody!" Everyone looked at us.
"Thank you to everybody for coming, I really appreciate you guys. Please make yourself welcome and eat, we'll have some games and things to do in a bit."
Everybody got up for a plate.
"Be careful! It's a little spicy." Kale hollered to everyone.
"Spicy is perfect!" Zendaya smiled, grabbing a plate.
"You're perfect." He whispered, eyeing her again.
I chuckled to myself. Daniel wrapped his arms around me, rubbing my belly and kissing my neck sweetly.
"You are such a beautiful mom." He said.
"We're gonna be parents." I said shocking myself.
"Yeah." He chuckled.

"Okay everybody we're starting the games!! The first one is gonna be Bobo for the Baby. We're gonna blindfold you and you just have to pin the pacifier in the baby's mouth!" Andrea announced to everyone. She's gonna make an awesome Godmom.

Kale went up first as Andrea blindfolded him and spun him around three times.

"Okay Kale, go!" He seemed to just trip over his feet for a bit until Andrea pushed him towards the poster. We all laughed. He pinned the pacifier and ripped off the blindfold excitedly.

"Didn't know the baby's forehead was that hungry!" Andrea said laughing. Kale was cracking up!
A couple more people went on and Daniel even tried it.
Andrea spun him three times and pushed him towards the poster. Just then there was a knock at the door. I went to answer it.

"Hey sweetheart!" Daniel's parents embraced me. Behind his parents were Daniel's siblings all with presents! I let them in as Daniel was blindfolded nearby. His dad snuck past and ran up in front of Daniel. Daniel pinned the pacifier to his dad's belly.

"What the.." he took off the blindfold.
"Finish that sentence." His dad said laughing.
Daniel was laughing then too.
"Hey dad!" He hugged his father, handed his blindfold to Andrea and went to hug his mother.

The party was so much fun with the people around that I loved. Daniel was so happy and so was I. Being surrounded by our friends and family for this baby seemed surreal.

"You look beautiful baby girl." Daniel's sister Angela said to me, helping me arrange the presents.
"Thanks Ang. I just feel fat." I laughed lightly, she laughed too.
"I know how you feel, it's like at any sudden movement you'll topple over." She said.
"Exactly!" I said to her still laughing.
"You ladies ready for presents?!" Andrea asked.
"Yes ma'am." We replied in unison.

"Alright everybody we're gonna open presents!!" Andrea hollered. She waved for Daniel to come to my side as we opened presents. He and Andrea handed me presents to open as everyone oohed and awed. We got tons of clothes, diapers and wipes from everyone. Daniel's mother got us a crib and my mother got us a stroller, and Andrea got us a car seat.
All the presents and smiling faces made my heart swell up.
"Thank you so much everyone! I'm so happy, like thanks so much." I said tearing up, wiping my tears. Daniel laughed.
"You're so emotional babe." He grabbed some tissues.
"Aww, we love you. Don't cry Reese." My mother said, running up to hug me.

"Okay everybody! Last thing, last thing! We have to guess the gender of the baby!" Andrea hollered. Everyone's attention flew to her.
"We have a box here in the living room with balloons it in that will reveal the baby's gender with a pink or blue balloon." Roger pushed the box into the living room where everyone was.
He opened the box as one simple pink balloon came out. Daniel kissed my hand and everyone seemed quiet for a second. But just then a whole slew of blue balloons flew up to the ceiling!

"WOOOOO!!!!!" Everyone hollered.
"A girl would've been nice!" Mrs Justine yelled out as everyone laughed.

"My little Josiah." I whispered so only Daniel could hear me.

...

Everyone hung out for awhile and soon the apartment was cleared out.

My brother and mother promised to come by again when the baby was born to help us out.
Daniel's parents said they'd be by also. Mrs Justine was already planning to take him for awhile.

We cleaned everything up awhile and went to bed. I could barely keep my eyes open. All I could feel was Daniel rubbing my hips as I fell asleep.
