I've been on the couch ever since our fight, two weeks ago. Sloane is still pretty pissed too, she won't even look at me sometimes and if she does it's only to argue.

I had just woken up to Si's crying and ran up to see what was wrong. He was standing in his crib, holding the bars, screaming his head off. Sloane was walking into the doorway when I picked him up. She stood there angrily until Si stopped crying and then she walked back into our bedroom.
I can't take this.
I followed behind her to our room.
"Sloane?" I asked. She was already back in the bed, ignoring me.
"Can you answer me please?" I asked again.
"What do you want?" She replied with an attitude.
"I want you to stop acting like this."
"Acting like what? Angry because my boyfriend would rather be on tour than with his family?" She asked. She was still in bed, her back turned away from me as she spoke.
"S, I'm doing this for us. For-" she cut me off, mocking my words.
"For us. For your career. For your fucking self."
She sat up in bed at this point. I could feel her eyes angrily staring me down in the dark.
"Egostistical fuck." She muttered quietly.
"How does that even make sense to you to up and leave us? Knowing you'll miss precious moments with Si? His first birthday? I'll miss you too but it's nothing compared to what you're gonna miss with him."
She said as she pointed to Si in my arms. He was fast asleep as I looked down at his face. What am I doing?
"Sloane, please. What can I do to make this better?" I pleaded.
"Don't go." She replied.
"What about a shorter tour?" I asked. She rolled her eyes as she sarcastically replied,
"Sure Daniel. Sounds fucking great."

Two weeks later..

There I was, packing my things away for the tour with Trevor. Sloane, Si and Kale were to see me off at the airport. Her mother was here to help with the baby until I got back.

Sloane sat on our bed, holding Si as I packed away my things. She watched me intently, no longer angry but somber.
I couldn't shorten the tour. It actually was extended to an 8 month tour. The deal was that I'd be home for two weeks around the time of Si's birthday. You can only imagine how livid that made Sloane.
Although at some point, maybe today or yesterday, she seemed to come to terms with it. She had said "at least you'll be here for his birthday." But there was a real deep sadness to her voice. I knew she understood but she was pissed that I had even made this decision to go.

"I'm ready to go babe." I said, smiling at her. She smiled back weakly. She kissed my cheek and walked out the room as I followed behind her.
Kale greeted me in the hallway.
"All ready? Got your toothbrush pretty boy?" He asked, making me laugh. He could sense the tension and always found a way to make somebody smile.
"Yeah man, I got it." I dapped him up and headed down the steps behind Sloane. Her mother was chilling on the couch watching the news.
"Ah baby!" She jumped up to greet Si and took him from Sloane's arms. We all smiled at her excitement.
"I'll watch mi grand baby til you get back. Ya can take no baby to the airport." She said, kissing his cheek.
"Well I'll say my goodbye now." I reached over to take Si and hold him for awhile.
"I'll miss you little man." I said, kissing him numerous times as he chuckled. Si pressed his drool covered fingers all over my face and kissed my chin.
"I love you too Si." I kissed his forehead and handed him back. He began to cry as I walked out the door to the car.
Sloane popped the trunk, Kale and I put my suitcases in and Kale then hopped in the backseat.
She tossed me the keys and got in the passenger seat as I got in the driver seat. I held her hand as I drove. The music masking the silence of the car.

Once we got there, Kale helped me with my bags again and we waited inside the airport for Perry and Trevor.
It was taking awhile about a half an hour until Trevor showed up.
"Hey beautiful!" Trevor said happily as he hugged Sloane.
"Hey Trevor! How are you doing hun? How's Z?" She asked, happily. She put on a whole new face in front of Trevor.
"She's great, I'm great! Things are good. How are you doing?" Her face twinges a bit with sadness but she quickly smiled again saying,
"I'm doing fine. Thanks for asking honey." She gave him another hug as Trevor then greeted Kale.
"Wassup college grad!" He hollered hugging Kale. Kale starting doing poses, cracking us all up.
"I'm doing good man! College is great." He dapped him up. Trevor then greeted me.
"How you doing man?" He dapped me too.
"I'm good." I said solemnly. I couldn't hide from my friend. He laid a hand on my shoulder.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yeah. Perry is just taking too long." I said, wiping my face. My voice was getting a little shaky, but I gained composure.
I'm really gonna miss Si and Sloane.

Perry was taking a lot longer than expected. We were all seated on a bench by the entrance. Kale and Trevor were talking about basketball. I draped my arm around Sloane, pressing her closer to me. She moved away a bit but quickly laid her head into my chest.

"Baby if you wanna go now it's fine. Perry is taking forever." I said.
"No, I wanna see you off." She replied quietly. She looked up at me, genuinely smiling this time.
"I want you to know I'm definitely still mad at you, but I want to support you in everything you do. I'm sorry it took me so long to come to terms with it. I know you just want to help support us the best you can, just don't forget about my son dickhead. Or me."
She pecked my lips and rested her head once more.
I wasn't gonna question this sudden change of heart, just enjoy it.
"Thanks S. I won't." I kissed her forehead.

Just then Perry strolled in, hollering
"AAARRREEE YOOOOUUUU REAAADYYYYY?!?!!?!!!!"
We all laughed as he greeted us.
"Where's my little man Sloane?!" He asked as he hugged her. She laughed.
"He's home with my mom. She wanted all the time she could get with him." She smiled.
"Well alright, kiss him for me." He said.
"I will." She replied.
"Alright boys! We outtie 5! Let's goooo!!!" He hollered.
I hugged Kale and kissed Sloane.
She gripped the collar of my shirt, pulling me into her as I deepened the kiss. My hands were gripping her waist and sliding down her-
"LETS GO MAN!" Perry yelled.
"Yeah get going freak!" Kale hollered laughing.
"I love you baby." I kept pecking her lips.
"I. Love. You. Too." She replied in between kisses. I grabbed my bags and ran after the guys.

When they checked my ticket I could see Sloane squeezing Kale's hand as she wiped her tears with the other.
