Phone Calls

That night I told Andrea about the whole ordeal. She was flipping out, jumping around our apartment. "Finally! A fairytale setup!" She screamed. I just laughed at her. She's insane. Just then I got a call from Daniel. "Hey, Sloane?"

"Hey. What's up?" Cool cat, cool cat.

"Oh I was just testing this number." There was a brief silence.

"Oh, well okay. Yeah it's me. I wouldn't give you a fake number, you're a little too interesting to give up like that." Now who's smooth? He chuckled. "Well alright Sloane. Oh, do you want to go to the movies Friday night? With me?" He said nervously. You could hear the heavy hesitation in his voice.

"Absolutely. Seeya Daniel." I hung up. Or so I thought.

Diggy's POV

"Seeya Sawyers." I hung on the line to see if she'd say anything else. I don't even know why, something about her voice just brightens my day. Idiot. "Oh, just testing this number," Roger said mockingly in a silly voice. I mentally kicked myself. Then I heard screams on the phone. "He's so cute! Ugh!" Sawyers? "I'm gonna hit that if you don't Sloane!"

"Andrea! Seriously? Mine! Mine! What's the point of a setup if you have your sights on him? Plus Roger would kill you."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Oh shit! I didn't hang up! Daniel?"

I was in tears of laughter. "Yes beautiful?"

"Shit. How much of that did you hear?"

"I heard that I was cute. Oh and tell Andrea I said thank you but I'm taken."

Andrea yelled into the phone, "tell my baby Roger I didn't mean that. Just girl talk baby!" Sloane giggled a little and said "Okay bye. ANDREAAA!!" I swore I went deaf, this time I actually hung up.

"You guys are interesting. How's a double date sound?" Roger said.
