POV June

Today i went to the doctor to see with him how my "walking" was and he was pretty satisfied with my condition. I walked a bit but it's still weird and i feel so clumsy as if i never ever walked in my life. I wished Spencer was with me but he told me he would be stuck all day at work. Yesterday we read all night so i am exhausted and i'm sure Spencer is too.
I wasn't supposed to go to therapy today but i wanted to so i went and I've made i new friend there. His name is Josh and he is a soldier.

He has been injured in the field so he has to go through physical therapy like me so i tried to help him morally because obviously i couldn't help him physically. He told me how he's been injured and how he copes with his new state. He lost his right leg so now he has to learn to live with his prosthesis. I think he's more affected by the fact that he can't be a soldier anymore than by the actual loss of his leg.
We talked a lot, we laughed and it felt good to talk to someone new who doesn't judge you in any way. It was really  nice. I told him briefly what happened to me but of course i didn't go into details. I'm not even able to talk about it with Spencer or any psychologist so obviously a stranger is not the best. Or maybe it is ?
We exchanged numbers to keep in touch.

After this nice morning i went back to the apartment to carry on with my reading and waiting for Spencer to come back home. I hoped he would be in a better mood than yesterday because i still thought that he hasn't been honest with me.

POV Spencer

I couldn't focus on my work because June was always on my mind. I didn't know how to bring it up without offending her in any way. Her past. Yeah her past. What a mystery. I talked with JJ again this morning but she told me that i was maybe being selfish because apart from Maeve, June didn't know anything about my past either.
This relationship was making me more and more nervous. It was still something new for me and i didn't know how to deal with it.

When i came back home this evening i saw the same thing as yesterday. A beautiful girl reading beautiful literature on the sofa.

"Hey." I said putting my bag on the floor. She turned her head surprised. "Did you not hear me ?"
"No." Ok simple. She seemed lost in her book.
"What did the doctor say ?" I tried to ask not sure if it was the right moment.
"It went well." Right.
"Nothing new ?"
"No." It wasn't the right moment to broach the subject.
"I'm gonna cook for dinner." I informed her.
"Mmh. Don't burn the apartment." She said giving me a small smile before going back to her book.
