A few weeks has passed as I was able to graduate the Soul Reaper Academy along with the rest of my friends. After the celebration I was summoned to the head captain's office the next day with Aizen accompanying me. I wasn't sure why, but I guess orders are orders.

It wasn't long till we reached the old man's office as my curious express made him chuckle, "you must be wondering why I brought you here."

I blinked a few times, "yes it must be very important then. What is it?"

The old man walked forward towards me a bit using his cane as his expression held a small smile, "it is my honor for you to be Captain Aizen's new lieutenant. You've shone great promise being in the soul reaper academy and proved to be at the top of your class by the time you graduated. Your friends have also said the same thing as well."

I widened my eyes in surprise from the promotion he said to me, "what? Me? A lieutenant?"

Aizen placed his hand on top my head and messed it up a little looking down at me with a warm genuine smile, "take the opportunity Shizuki. This is once in a lifetime chance you'll never get again."

I didn't think for once in my life I would be good enough to be that rank in the squad I figured being Aizen's third seat would be better for me. I looked at Aizen then to the old man, "I'll take the promotion head captain and thank you. My parents would be proud of me that I got this far," I replied then looked downwards to the wooden floor in sadness from missing my mom and dad.

Old man Yamamoto pounded his wooden large cane a few times into the wooden floor as a couple thuds were heard, "Then it's decided! Congratulations on your promotion Lieutenant Shizuki Inuruki of fifth Division!"

"Thank you head captain," I say then bowed showing my respect.

Aizen and I eventually left after getting my lieutenant's badge and soul reaper attire as I was puzzled on how I would do in his squad. Would I lead a good example? Would I fail the others below my seat? A lot of questions are buzzing through my head.

"You ok?" Aizen asked stopping my questioning thoughts.

I looked over at him then back at the lieutenant badge in my hand as we walked, "I don't think I'm ready for this. It all seems so fast to me, its...weird."

Aizen nods in understanding, "In time you'll get used to it, you should work on getting your shikai unlocked and I'm sure your zanpaktou spirit can help you on that."

I nodded my head in agreement as we kept walking back to our home so I'm ready for my first day of being a lieutenant.

It wasn't long before I had to deliver paperwork that Aizen got done. Trouble was, I barely remember how to get to most of the squad barracks cause Aizen has shown me around a few times before so hopefully I can get to the third, sixth, seventh and tenth squad barracks today.

First stop was at third squad barracks and I'll either run into Kira or Gin trying to find my way around that place. When I arrived I asked for directions from passing soul reapers as they pointed me in the right direction.

I stopped in front of Gin's office door and knocked a few times as I heard 'come in' and I slid the doors open, "been a while Gin." I say to him smiling.

Gin did his famous grin as he put down the paperwork he was doing and looked over at me, "yes it has Shizuki. You have more work for me to do huh?"

"Unfortunately I do. Plus I have other places to drop this paperwork off at," I said giving him the paperwork.

"Well good luck little Shizuki-chan." Gin grinned and waved at me in goodbye, "maybe Captain Aizen, myself and you can catch up sometime?"

"Maybe when I'm not so busy," I replied with a giggle which will be true, "Later Gin."

I closed the door by sliding it back and flashstepped to the street closest to the sixth squad barracks and began walking to that destination. After a few minutes or so I arrived and made my way to where Captain Kuchiki might be for his office and did the same thing as I did with Gin. I opened the door and unlike other women that might freeze up whenever they see this captain or Aizen I carried on my duties just like any other soul reaper, "here to drop off more paperwork for you Captain Kuchiki."

He looked up at me then nods and points to the open spot on his desk, "Just set them there for the time being Lieutenant. What is your name?"

There was a hint of curiosity in his voice as I placed the paperwork for him on the open spot on his desk as I looked at him. Byakuya was indeed a good looking guy but his pride and cold stone personality I would not get along good with or else face lectures from the man but I would enjoy his company even if he's not one to talk much, "Its Shizuki Inuruki. I just started today being Captain Aizen's Lieutenant."

"You just graduated from the soul reaper academy right? Seems a bit unusual for you to be that rank already." Byakuya mentioned as he works.

"The head captain told me I graduated at the top of my class even if I got behind due to—nevermind it's not important you shouldn't worry yourself with." I said cutting myself off. Truth was I didn't want too many people to know about that dragon hollow and the incident with my parents.

"Due to what, Shizuki?" Byakuya said raising his eyebrow wanting more information.

I frowned a bit at him, "if you wanna know so much it's because of the dragon hollow that killed my parents! I was having trouble sleeping when I was at the soul reaper academy and that's why at certain points I would fall behind. I hope you're happy!"

He was slight surprised at my outburst but stopped what he was doing, getting up from his seat and walked over to me only being a few feet away. Looking down at me with a serious expression on his face, "I heard what happened to you from Renji my lieutenant. There is no need to raise your voice at someone who is higher rank then you."

"I'm not afraid of you Captain Kuchiki. I should get going so I don't get in trouble for taking too long."

I turned with my back to him as I flashstepped away. If I wanted too I could have challenged him, but I know he's faster than me and I don't even have my shikai yet.

By the time I got back to the fifth squad barracks I could not walk anymore, I was that tired and I wasn't used to this much work yet. I walked back to my desk and crossed my arms with my head resting on it.

Aizen's amused chuckle broke the silence, "long day?"

"Obviously, you do the paperwork errands next time!" I said glaring at him slightly.

"Captains don't do that, only ranks lower then us do." Aizen replied as he worked.

My head made a 'thud' noise on the wooden desk as my forehead collided with it, "but Sosuke I don't wanna do it!" I whined.

Aizen made an annoyed sigh looking at me, "don't whine Shizuki, get used to it or do I have to punish you again?"

I yelped falling down on the floor and hiding under the desk, "s-stay there!"

Aizen chuckled a bit getting up as he walks over to where I was and grabbing my arm gently and making me stand, "aww what's wrong?"

"Well when you say 'punish' I imagine the worst. I know your trying to discipline me and all but...I wanna go home."

Aizen had a concerned look on his face knowing that I worry and I have anxiety too but nods, "all right we'll go home." He says then plants a gentle kiss on my forehead which calmed me down.

He lets go, made a note on his desk then looked over at me with a smile holding my hand as we flashstepped back home. It wasn't long before we had dinner then went to bed.

'Today was too exhausting...' I thought gettingcomfy in bed.
