Chapter 34
I woke up in a hospital bed, my eyes adjusting to my surroundings. I heard Lucy's familiar voice panicking on the phone, and freaking out.
"Yes, she just fainted!" Lucy was saying. "No, Niall she was in the police station, and then she was sitting in a puddle of blood." She said, and there was a long pause. "Okay, good luck at the show tonight." Lucy said, and stopped talking.
"Oh my god!" She said, rushing over to my side, and kneeling down next to me.
"What happened?" I asked.
"I don't know. What do you remember?" She asked.
"Walking into a bar and drinking." I said.
"Is that it?"
"Yeah." I said.
"Well..." She said, and started to fill me in. She stopped at the bloody part.
"So what happened?" I asked.
"We don't know the nurse should be coming back in soon to tell us." Lucy said. "But you were really drunk, that's all I know. And you're underage, so you went to jail." She explained.
"Oh." I nodded. "Shit!" I yelled.
"What?!"
"Alex is gonna find out. What time is it?" I asked.
"Ten." She said.
"How long have I been here? I have to leave, now." I said.
"I think you can go home tonight, but we have to wait and see. Why?" She asked.
"Alex is home at eleven every night." I said.
"Oh." She sighed as a tall lady walked in.
"Ah, Ms. Mortin." She said. "You're awake."
"This is the nurse." Lucy said, and I nodded.
"So we have some results. We've ran a few tests, and you're in luck." The nurse said and I waited for her to go on. "So, there's nothing wrong with you. You didn't get stabbed, you didn't get hurt, you don't have a disease or anything." She said.
"So what happened?" I asked.
"Well, underage drinking is very bad. And it would obviously cause you to have this problem, considering your conditions." She said. What conditions? "Did you ever have any symptoms or anything like that?" She asked.
"I'm sorry, condition? What symptoms?" I asked.
"Oh..." She said, looking down at a clipboard. "You didn't know you were...?" She waited for an answer,but I was too confused. I just stared at her.
"Ariana..." The nurse started and I waited for her to go on.
"Ariana, you had a miscarriage."
