Chapter 65
The drive to the hospital was longer then it should've been. I felt like my whole life was falling apart, and this was the last straw. Too much has happened recently, and all I want to do is lay in the big bed at my new house with my fiancé and daughter. But I know that can't happen as long as this is going on.
"Ariana." Harry stopped me before we ran into the hospital.
"What? Harry, we have to go." I panicked.
"I know." He nodded, and got tears in his eyes.
"Harry..." I started, and wrapped my arms around his torso, hugging him close.
"Just... whatever happens in there today-"
"Harry." I silenced him, and hugged him tighter as he buried his nose in my shoulder.
"Just promise me you'll stay with me, and that you'll always love me."
"Harry." I tried to smile, but just ended up starting to cry. "Of course. Harry, I'll always love you, and I'll always stay with you. Because I love you."
"Okay." He nodded, and gave me a quick kiss before taking my hand and leading him inside.
"I love you." I told him as we walked towards the nurse's desk, and I leaned my head in on his shoulder.
"Cassidy Anne Styles." Harry said to the short girl sitting behind a computer who looked about fifty. She had long dark hair, wrapped in a bun and she was wearing small reading glasses.
"Room 324." She smiled, and I squeezed Harry's hand.
"Why did they move her?" I asked as we speed-walked to the elevator.
"I don't know." He shook his head.
"How did you know to ask for her room?"
"I don't know, I guess I was just a little used to it." He shrugged and pressed the up button on the elevator. He sighed, and kissed my hand as the elevator doors opened and we pressed the button to the third floor.
The ride up was slow and silent, and we stepped off when we reached the third floor of the hospital, walking down the hall in silence.
"I love you." Harry whispered as we stood in front of room 324.
"I love you." I tried smiling, and quickly kissed him.
I didn't want to open this door. I didn't want to face the tragedy that was my daughter, hooked up to machines and everything. I didn't want to have to suffer through this kind of shit anymore. First my dad died, then Alex basically turned into a different person, then Harry was rude, then he was nice, and now we have a daughter together. A daughter who was beautiful, but I wasn't sure how much longer she could hold on.
If Cassidy were to... pass; the thought made me sick to my stomach, I don't know what I would do. I truthfully would want to kill myself, so I could be with her, but what about Harry? I was almost positive he would do something, anything to get his mind off of everything. But then again, so would I.
"Ariana, did you hear me?" Alyssa asked, waving her hand in front of my face. I guess I wasn't paying enough attention to my surroundings, because we were already in the hospital room.
"Sorry." I apologized, and ran a hand through my hair.
"The doctor will be here soon." Alyssa said, and I looked over to the other people in the room.
"Where are the boys?" I asked, seeing only Harry, Alli, Lucy, Hailey, Alyssa, Anne, and Paul.
"They just left." Anne informed me. They did?
