Chapter 83

"Would you give up already?" Alex asked from the front seat. "He's not coming."

"Yes he is." I argued. I was determined to believe we would come, because he loves me. I wasn't sure how he was getting here, or how he knew where I was, but I had to trust that he'd be here.

"No he's not. He doesn't even know where we are." Daniel chuckled.

"But he's smart." I defended.

"Not as smart as us." Timothy shook his head.

I ignored them, and leaned my head against the wall. I tried closing my eyes, but it only resulted in Alex yelling at me. I jerked my head off the wall when I heard the sound of a gunshot, and Alex swerved to the side of the road, and crashed into a tree. They all ducked, and I did the same.

"What happened?" I panicked.

"Someone got our tires." Timothy informed me, and they jumped out of the car. Daniel dragged me out of the back, and pushed me into Alex's arms as he held a gun to my head. I squeezed my eyes shut, and I heard his voice.

"Drop your guns!" Harry yelled, out of breath.

"You shot our tires, why should we drop the guns?" Daniel fired back.

"Let her go." Harry ordered.

"Drop your gun." Alex instructed, and I opened my eyes, and started heavily breathing. Harry was holding a gun, and Alex had one against my temple.

"I love you," Harry mouthed to me and I let a tear slip down my cheek.

"Drop your gun or I'll shoot her." Alex said, and my heart sped up.

"Really?" Harry laughed. He was laughing? He should be freaking out, why wasn't he taking this seriously? Daniel and Timothy exchanged glances, and cocked their guns.

"Harry!" I yelled.

"Shut up!" Alex yelled as he pressed the gun harder against my head.

"You're not gonna shoot her." Harry shook his head. What?

"Huh?" Alex asked. "You wanna test that little theory you got there?"

"You won't shoot her, because then this little quest you got here would be over. There's be no point. I'm here, and you're here, because of her. And if she goes, so do you." Harry shrugged, and cocked his gun. He did have a point, and I felt Alex's muscles tense as he realized Harry was right.

"Yeah, but like we said earlier, we can still hurt her." Alex shrugged, and I suddenly got nervous again.

"You wouldn't." Harry shook his head, and gripped the gun tighter. I had never seen him so angry, and it was scaring me.

"Watch." Alex smirked, and nodded his head in Daniel's direction. Daniel pulled the trigger, and I yelled out in pain as Harry's eyes and face lost all color. I sunk to the ground, and looked down, seeing a bloody ankle. I didn't try to hold the tears back anymore, and I just let them come down, just like my world, as I saw it come crashing down around me.

I could tell it was taking every bone in Harry's body to not shoot one of them. I heard sirens, and the three boys looked around, but kept their guns raised.

"Police, drop your guns!" A voice yelled over a speaker, and I heard running footsteps.

"Shit." Timothy muttered.

"Run." Alex said quietly, and the three of them sprinted in the other direction. Harry threw his gun on the ground, and ran over to me. I heard another gunshot, and looked around Harry crouching down in front of me.

They had all fallen to the ground, and I was assuming the police officers had shot them in the foot or something.

"Ariana, are you okay?" He asked, and I smiled. He have me a confused look as to why I was smiling, but all I could think was how this was all finally over.

"Are those real cops?" I asked.

"Yes, I called them." Harry nodded. It was done. For so long I had been dealing with Alex, and then Daniel, and then Timothy. And now it was all over.

"It's done." I threw my head back, and he pulled me up on his lap. He kissed my forehead and I ignored the pain coming from my ankle, and smiled. Harry stood up, and walked toward the flashing lights. I was placed onto a stretcher, and put into an ambulance for what seemed like the hundredth time since I had moved here.

"You asshole," Alex muttered as a police shoved him into a cop car, and shut the door.

"Let me know how hell is!" Harry called after the car, and hopped into the ambulance.

"How did you know where to find me?" I asked.

"Um..." he stuttered, "I just- I just knew."

"Harry." I took his hand in mine, and ran my thumb over the back of his hand.

"Fine, but you're not going to like it."

"What?" I asked.

"You know how I used to work for Alex?" He bit his lip.

"Don't remind me."

"Well he taught me a few things... and after the Timothy incident, I kind of put little GPS trackers in all of your shoes." He blushed and looked away.

"At least they worked, and they came in handy, right?" I smiled, and he gave me another weird look. He looked around at the nurses, and laughed at me.

"Is she already drugged?" He joked, and I closed my eyes.

"She's losing blood, fast." I heard a nurse say, and Harry's grip tightened around my hand.

I woke up in a hospital bed, but didn't open my eyes right away. I heard the beeping of a heart monitor, and then someone quickly get up, and run over to the bedside. He put his hand in mine again, and I knew who it was. I opened my eyes now, and he smiled.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah." I rubbed my eyes, and looked down at my aching ankle again. It was elevated, and wrapped in a big white cast.

"Ariana, you're awake." A nurse smiled, and walked into the room. "How do you feel?"

"Fine. My leg hurts really bad, but I'm fine."

"Good." She smiled again. "You only passed out because of the loss of blood. We put you on painkillers, and you're going to be just fine. I just have a few questions for you."

"Okay, go ahead." I nodded, and she walked over to a small table. She picked up a clipboard and a pen, and sat down on a small chair near Harry.

"Your name?"

"Ariana." I replied. That was easy.

"Birthday?"

"May 8th." I said.

"And... were you aware you were pregnant?" She said, and Harry dropped my hand as my heart sunk. No. I didn't want a baby. Not now. Now Harry was going to start drinking again, and everything would be miserable for us. Again.

"And I'll probably drink a lot again."

Harry's words from before replayed in my head, and he put his face in his hands. He ran his fingers through his hair again, and I got as nervous as he did.

"I'll take that as a no." The nurse nodded, and wrote something down on the paper.

"Well I- I went to get tested, today actually, and they said th- that they would call when they got the results back." I stuttered.

"Right, well there's actually more to this story." The nurse clenched her jaw, and I knew she didn't want to spill the news.

"What now." Harry's voice was flat.

"It's twins." The nurse tried smiling, and I put my hands over my stomach. I suddenly felt like I was going to throw up again.
