Chapter 28

After Saturday, I didn't see Kendall until Monday. I was walking to band, with my clarinet in hand. Then I saw him. I've missed seeing him. I was so busy thinking, I didn't even notice he was right next to me.

"Viv?" He called. I looked up at him, smiling.

"Hey." I said and gave him a hug.

"What's that?" He asked, pointing to my clarinet case.

"My clarinet." I held it up so he could get a better look at it.

"You can play the clarinet?" I nodded. He grinned at me. "What can't you do?"

"What class do you have now?" I looked at the clock on the wall.

"History." He sighed.

"I'd suggest we ditch, but that didn't turn out so well, last time." I was referring to the park and meeting my dad. He nodded and the bell rang. We both realized we were late.

"I'll see you later."

"I'll meet you outside your last class. I want to take you somewhere"

"Sounds good." I said, giddily. I walked into the band room. They've already started the whole note scale. I hurried in and shoved my clarinet together. The end of the day couldn't come any slower.

I was in my last period of the day, Math, and was waiting for the bell. Ten minutes left. I couldn't wait. I had finished my assignment early and had nothing to do. Five minutes left to go. I started squirming in my seat. The teacher glared at me. "Miss Donaldson, would you please hold still."

"Sorry." I said staring at the clock. Two minutes left. I started biting my nails. The bell rang and I bolted from my seat. When I got out the door, Kendall was waiting.

"Hey." I walked up to him. He grinned at me.

"Hey, ready to go?" I nodded. He took my hand and we went outside. We drove for 15 minutes, when we pulled up to the park.

"Close your eyes." He said. I did as I was told. I heard him open and close his door and then mine. He took my hand and helped me out of the car. We walked for a while; soon we came to a stop. "Open your eyes." I looked around. He sat up a picnic for us." I grinned. We sat on the blanket and pulled put food. He brought sandwiches, coke, and apples. We started eating.

"This is really nice." I finished my sandwich and moved closer to him... He put his arm around me. I wish I could have this moment forever. His eyes met mine.

"I love you." He whispered to me. Happiness ran through me.

"I love you too." I said back. We finished the food and laid on the blanket. I finally, drifted into sleep.

Connor Morgenson watched the fairy and the half-vampire. They protested their love for each other. This was an even bigger threat than before. He had to remove the threat. He jogged back to his car. An idea formed in his mind. What if he destroyed the threat by removing half of the problem? He picked up his cell phone and called his office. A woman answered the phone. "Hello?"

"This is Connor Morgenson. I need you to call a meeting." He directed her.

"What should I say it's for?" She asked.

"Tell them I have a plan. A plan to remove the threat for good." A sickly grin appeared on his face. He pulled out of the parking lot. He had a lot of planning to do
