Chapter 31

Cynthia Donaldson was sitting in a chair in a very plain room. She had been arrested for document theft. They were trying to get answers out of her. She didn't give and because she hadn't taken those file. Vivian had. She did it to find answers and protect they ones she loved. Cynthia would have done the same. In fact, that's why she was here, to protect her daughter.

"Cynthia, why'd you do it?" Asked a detective, bringing her out of her thoughts. She stayed silent. "You lack motives and you have a daughter. Why would you do this to yourself and her?"

She faced forward in her seat, not meeting his gaze. He sighed and wrote in his notebook. "I guess you'll have to face prison time." He announced.

"How long?" She asked.

"She speaks." He joked. "About 5 to 10 years."

She gasped. 5 to 10 years. When would she see Vivian again? She thought. She couldn't see her graduate next year or go to college. Another thought crossed her mind.

The top of the building exploded. Concrete flew everywhere. The skyscraper soon started falling down. I screamed and jump back. Then I realized, looking as Vincent. He had the same expression on his face. We stood there in horror.

Kendall was inside the skyscraper
