The knocking on the door continued. I was home alone. Will was at the shop, the rest of the guys all off working somewhere. And Ava was at school for another hour at least.

It was rare that anyone else came to this house. So when I was getting out of the shower and the doorbell went off I was a little confused.

Rushing down the stairs with my wet hair and quick outfit consisting of a pair of yoga pants and one of Will's sweatshirts. I peak out the window and find my brother with his two kids.

"Hey!" I smile opening the door.

"Hi." They all say smiling and walking in.

I give Taylor a hug and then move on to her little brother (don't actually know the gender of the baby so I'm making this up), Mason and then hug my brother.

"So what brings you here?" I question.

"We wanted to come see you." Taylor giggles.

"Well I'm very happy about that." I usher them all into the living room.

"So what are you doing with wet hair?" Denny asks.

"I just got out of the shower?"

"In the middle of the day?" Taylor giggles.

"Yes, I'm going out to dinner tonight."

"With who?" Denny asks.

"Ava and Chase."

Dennys face holds an expression resembling confusion. He doesn't answer until he sends Taylor and Mason into the play room.

"Why." His question is more of a statement implying 'What the fuck is wrong with you.'

Denny was the first person I went to when Chase wanted to get a divorce. He knew I loved Chase and that Chase had hurt me. So he didn't want me to have anything to do with him anymore.

"I don't know." I shrugged. I didn't actually know why I was going.

"Bryn he hurt you."

"I know that Denny."

"Then why are you going tonight."

"Because Denny as much as we all hate to admit it I still love him."

Suddenly we were quiet. I knew I still loved him. Will knew I still loved him. Amy and Sammy knew I still loved him. I'm pretty sure John Hunter even knew I still loved him. But I never said it, because I knew it was going to hurt once I said it. But it doesn't hurt.

"I know you do."

"I'm pathetic."

"No your not. You still love him, he was your first love."

"What do I do?"

"Just let it play out. If it's meant to be you guys will get back together, but if it's not you'll find someone else."

"I won't find anyone better?"

"I'm not a wise person but, you never forget your first love. They will always be the best to you. They teach you everything you need to know to be in love. How to deal with it and what you need to know."

"Wow, so wise Denny."

"Yeah whatever. But I'm guessing this wasn't your idea?"

"No we had a Hendrick dinner last night. Chase asked to talk, I'd let him pick up Ava yesterday and take her for the afternoon. Thinking we weren't gonna have the dinner and then before we ate he took me into the hallway and thanked me. I let him keep Ava over night and he asked if we could all go out to eat tonight. And for some reason I couldn't say no."
