*Chase's POV*

I continue to look around the room at all the familiar faces that I saw. Everyone seemed to be happy and laughing, while I was probably frowning, with Callie hooked onto my arm.

"Excuse me for a minute Callie, I need to talk to someone."

"Why can't I come with you." She whines.

"Because it's really important."

"Well I don't want to be left alone." She continues to whine.

"Please, it'll only be a minute. You can sit down and do whatever you'd like but I really need to talk to someone."

She scoffs than sits in one of the chairs at the table. I roll my eyes at her 5 year old behavior. Why am I still with her? Because you need someone to help you get over Bryn. I look back at everyone in the room, but it's not hard finding the person I'm looking for. I always could find them in a room full of people. They always stood out to me especially when they were smiling.

"Hey Bryn can we talk?" I ask walking up to her.

She looks hesitant for a moment and then excuses herself from her conversation with Ingrid and Ella Gordon. I walk out of the closed off room and lead us into the quiet hallway.

"What did you need to talk about." She smiles, but I can tell it's a fake smile, her real smile always made her eyes sparkle.

Then I'm thinking. Why did I want to talk to Bryan. Did I have an actual reason, because I don't remember. All I remember is seeing her and just remembering everything we used to have. I don't think I had an actual reason to talk to Bryn. I just saw her smiling with the Gordan's and I needed to talk to her.

I don't want to seem stupid, I need to come up with something to talk about. I can't just stare at her and remember everything from our past. Every small detail, like when she laughed she'd snort if she found it really funny or when she felt small compared to someone else she'd rock back and forth on her feet. I start to smile at the beautiful women standing in front of me, but quickly stop when I realize what I'm doing.

"Thank you for letting me take Ava. Even though we didn't get much of Ava and Chase time, I enjoyed all the time I got." I finally let the smile show.

"No problem, I bet she had fun. Especially since you took her shopping." She smirks.

"Yeah hope you don't mind, I had no nice clothes, well no clothes for her."

Bryn looked away, with the face she always made when she was thinking. "What are you doing tomorrow." She suddenly asks.

"I have nothing planned, why?" I smile.

"Well I packed a bag for Ava in case. I didn't know if you would come here tonight or not, but if you didn't come I was going to call and ask if you wanted to keep Ava the night. And if you came I was just going to ask you and you came. So if you want to keep her for the night you can but if you want to spend time with Callie you can and I'll be ok with that. But if you do take her you'll have to bring her to school and maybe you have something to do tomorrow so you can't take her." She babbled on.

"Bryn, I'll take her tonight. Actually I'd love to take her her for the night and bring her to school tomorrow. And why don't we get dinner together tomorrow with her." I spoke before thinking.

I look up at Bryn and see her face with an almost shocked expression.

"Um, yeah, I guess. But just the three of us?"

"No." I simply state. "You, Ava, your baby, and me." I laugh

"Oh yeah, duh." She smiles with me.

"I'll pick Ava up again from school tomorrow and then pick you up after at Will's?" I question.

She nods her head agreeing and we both walk back into the room we had just come out of. I see Callie still on her phone and Will giving me a death glare. He jumps up from his seat and grabs my arm dragging me back out the door I had just come from.

"Bryn is finally starting to be happy again with JH. I don't want you to screw up whatever they have now." He states angrily.

"I don't want to screw her life up anymore than I have. I want her to be happy. We were just working everything out with Ava.

"Good and try to keep Callie away from events like these. She's really rude and annoying."

"I can easily do that." I agree.

He pats me on the shoulder before going back in the room, while I followed behind. When we enter back in the room everyone was taking a seat at the table in the middle of the room. I pull out the chair next to Callie and see Ava sitting next to me with Bryn next to her. I smile at the two, and then turn my head to listen to Mr. Hendrick who had started talking. Then it hits me, William is not going to be happy with me taking Bryn and Ava to dinner tomorrow night, especially if he knew I still loved her.
