********* The Prince *********

"Adam. I'm scared."

She was scared? I'm panicking. What the hell happened? Who hurt her?!

"Master?!" Lumière shouts running up the steps as quickly as possible. "Do something!" I demand, my breathing ragged and uneven. "Oh my! Chip! Go get some bandages. Lumière take the master to get some new clothes for the girl." Ms. Potts takes charge.

"Very well. Master? Come." Lumière urges me away from océanas side but I don't want to move, to risk leaving her unprotected. "Master." He makes me leave her side. I follow him down the steps towards océanas room. It used to be belles but I see it as océanas now.

I shake away the thought, searching through her belongings we find pants but no shirt for her. Through her properly folded stacks of clothes we find nothing even close.

"Lumière what happened? What is wrong with her?" I suddenly question hysterically. "Master I do not know, but we must stay strong." He tries to reassure stepping along the light bronze bedding. "No. No what if she- what if we can't-" I grab my head trepidation filing my body. Tears burn in my eyes blurring the room. I slump against the wall.

"Master! We can not think like that. Not for Océana sake." Lumière reasons. I can't stop seeing her collapse on the stairs, the blood on her face, the true fear in her eyes as she passes out again and again. I shake now, my body trembling with anxiety of what might never be.

"Lumière what is happening?" a soft French voice floats through the room. Lumière jumps up running to the door. He rapidly speaks to someone in a hushed and frantic tone. The other disappears as Lumière comes back to my side. "Master come. We must return to Océana and ms. Potts. Quickly now."

I barely bring myself to crawl back up the west wing stair case. The thought of what her attacker might have done to her, to cause such a beautiful girl such harm. I don't want to see her pale and bleeding. To see her broken, it hurts this ache I feel seeing her lying on my bed nothing more than a cloth pressed to her forehead a light trace of water on her now clean face and her cloak removed. I want to see her smile, to laugh and hear her voice as she makes me feel so complete.

"Master. Come now, Lumière give me what you found and take him into the hall. Chip go with them my boy." Ms. Potts tells us resting on the pillow beside Océanas head. Her red brown hair halos her head like blood against the white sheets. I turn away without having to be told twice. I can't see her like this.

I don't notice the new presence in the room as I leave, but I don't care as I practically tumble down to the landing by the west wings doors and wait. Lumière and chip come down moments later. Lumière paces anxiously while chip sits beside me, silent tears sliding from his eyes.

I sit feeling empty, completely and utterly alone. Time seems to drag on minutes becoming years before
Plumette flutters down the stairs to Lumière whispering into his ear with sad eyes watching me sulk.

Lumière looks down before wrapping his arm around plumette and cautiously stepping toward
Me.

"Master, she is asleep. We can see her but there is nothing to be done but let her rest." He speaks gently. Chip hops up the stairs without a word, the soft clink of china on the stones rapidly fading. I rise to shaking legs and slowly ascend the stairs.

Stopping at the door I study her. Her burgundy hair is now draped over her shoulders and out of her face, the blood no longer stains her skin but the bruises remain darkening her paling skin. She is wrapped in the blankets her hands resting on top gently. She looks peaceful. She is wearing one of my shirts, the fabric swallows her small body.

I drag up a chair and sit down beside her. "Master, we found this while we cleaned her up." Plumette sweeps in gently tugging the blanket away and pulls up the side of the shirt. Across her ribs a black bruise tarnishes her skin. I hang my head shaking it as tears fall onto the floor. The room is silent.

Plumette restores Océana to her peaceful state hiding the damage from sight and takes her leave. When Océana wakes I can be happy she has returned to Lumière but for now I will wait here lost in an ocean of pain and loss.

"Come on chip. It's bed time." "Come my darling. Let us leave the master be." I wait for them to leave before I completely break down, a waterfall of tears cascade down my face, the silence being broken by great heaving sobs. My tears pitter patter against the stones in the silence.

"Please. Please. Océana please. I beg you come back. Please." I plead as more tears fall down my face dripping into the fabric of the blanket. I gently take océanas bandaged hand holding it in my own. Her fingers are cold in my hand, lacking the warmth she brought to every room. I rest my head on the mattress still holding her hand in my own.

"I need you."
